listening to him, she tried her best from crying, but to no avail. as the memories of her world burning and being torn apart flooded her mind, her face streaked with tears. moving over to him, Akrina looked Kai in the eye. "what your feeling is only a fraction of what i felt," she said, her voice broken in her sobs. before he could react, she embraced him in a sympathetic hug.

Caught off guard by the hug he gently pushed her away. "I know you went through worse. That's why I don't want to whine to you about my problems. Its nothing. I will be fine. I just need to be alone and come to terms and accept this"

being pushed away gently, she looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "then i will respect that. i will warn you this once though, you follow what i did, and i will put you into a coma personally. i nearly took my life on several occasions before i left the Guardians of the Ancients," Akrina said, wiping the tears from her face. standing up, she began to make her way out of the alcove, respecting his wish to be alone.

Kai did not know what she was talking about. But something told him it was important so he made a mental note of it. Not knowing what else to do Kai got up to wander the halls and rooms of the temple. If this place was to be home. He figured he might as well learn where everything was.

returning to the spot on the roof from earlier, Akrina laid on the weathered stone of the roof of the temple as her mind wandered. remembering her time at the battle-ravaged temple that sat on the edge of a massive well of chaotic energy, she closed her eyes as a shiver ran down her body. as she laid there with her mind away from the present, the runes that permeated her body began to pulse wildly as they and the energy inside her body reacted to the presence of something nearby.

Kai felt empty. All purpose lost. As he wandered the temple he found himself back in the room of the pool of visions with the dragons in cloaks. Rather then leaving he submitted to one of them as they showed him a vision. After wards Kai looked at them and then back down at the stone floor.

"You know what you must do. It is your destiny. A dragon once lead them to ruin. Now it is time one lead them to salvation"

Kai was not one for destiny talk. But what they showed him was hard to deny. He felt connection with those in his vision. They were a dying people. Unlike his that were gone.

Wordlessly he walked through the temple with purpose. A set destination. A set goal. Until he reached a courtyard separate from the others with armored temple guard. Before the guard got a word out Kai stepped up onto his hind legs and grabbed the guard by the throat. Lifting him clear from the ground with his strength, Kai choke slammed the guard to the ground and only let go after the body did not move.

Moving through the archway Kai saw what he came for. A giant metal cage filled with apes. Tearing the metal lock away with his bare claws Kai forced the gate open. "You are free, go while you can" After hearing complaints he mumbled and slammed his shoulder into a wall until a hole appeared. "I will cover your escape."


As some more guards came to investigate one asked. "He is helping the apes escape. What does that mean?" The other replied bluntly. "He is a traitor to the dragon race for helping the betrayers. Kill him!

"Kill me?" Kai said. "You all disgust me. I know what your doing. I have seen it in my visions. If helping them makes me a traitor to my race. I am ashamed to be called a dragon. I will kill you all" Shortly after a explosion of rock and dust irrupted from the general direction Kai was at in a tall mushroom cloud visible to all with eyes to see.

as her mind wandered from the present, Akrina was suddenly brought from her thoughts when the explosion sounded around and the mushroom cloud assaulted the air. pushing herself forwards from the roof, she looked at the origin point of where the explosion happened. jumping to her feet, she smelled the scent of Kai, despite the swirling mass of scents coming from the temple grounds.

running and jumping off the roof, she spread her wings and flew towards the origin of the explosion. landing in the cloud of rock and dust, she began to search for the Earth dragon. as she came upon a cage that had been torn open, she looked in the corner of her eye when she heard the sound of an armored form. hearing the familiar sounds of a weapon being raised, Akrina acted first and grabbed the neck of the guard. lifting up with a jerk, she slammed the larger dragon into the ground, knocking it out as its head hit the ground. "Kai! where are you!?" she called out, looking at the change, feeling disgust at what it was used for.
