To Hunt a Killer

["Cosmos"]

as she rounded a corner, Midnight noticed Zia perk her ears. not showing that they had been noticed, she heard the claw taps of armored dragons. motioning with her hand, she lengthened her strides. as she walked into a wide area that was clear of debris, she looked like she was oblivious of anything. suddenly, a bolt of lightning seared past her, missing by mere millimeters. searing the paste that covered her body, her white fur shown as she looked at the spot where the lightning bolt came from. throwing a dagger at the spot, it soared through the air with lightning speed, sticking into the skull of the attacker, right between the eyes. positioning the sword, it stopped the blade of a large claymore as a dragon dropped from the alcoves above.

[Ixion]

He put both his hands in front him as a large rune circle appeared and caused a flash of light that would only affect the targets and not the group of them. It caused the enemy to be blinded but made no sound.

dropping down to one knee, she grabbed one of her daggers and slit the dragons throat. as Reawing and Zia flew away from the fight, Midnight pulled out one of her longer daggers and charged at the emerging warriors. in the darkness of one of the alcoves, a dragon looked down at the Ape, waiting for the chance to end this piece of trash.

He saw the dragon in the alcove. Raising his hand towards it making another rune circle around that area, several chains with blades on the ends shot out and assaulted the area.

jumping into the shadows before the bladed chains could reach it, the dragon slipped into the shadows and disappeared. as Midnight fought against the warriors, the dragon slipped out of the shadows behind Loth. being larger up close, it raised its claw and brought it bearing down on him with speed and force. "kill her!" the dragon said forcefully, its feminine voice ringing off the walls.

[Ixion]

Swiftly dodging the claw a new rune shown in his hand as it sent out a little dagger that was etched with a paralytic poison.

using her wing to send the dagger flying with a gust of wind, the dragoness jumped back as she sent a burst of skittering Shadow flames at Loth. as she sliced through the chest of a warrior, Midnight turned to see the dragoness. "i know you," she said, as she spun and smashed the back of the sword blade into the head of the next warrior. jumping back as the last warrior swung its claymore at her, the sword smashed into the ground. suddenly, it was hit by the melodic screech of Reawing, stunning it before it was tackled by the Dreadwing. as the Dreadwing quickly ended the warrior, Midnight lunged at the dragoness, knocking her off her feet and off the edge. as they tumbled into the abyss, Mignight had made sure to have dropped her weapons on the ledge when she lunged. punching the dragoness in the face as they fell, Midnight spoke firmly, "stop this madness, you should know me."

Watching as the other dragons surrounded him he pressed a hand to the ground. As many of them thought this was a sign of defeat they sneered but they suddenly knew that their deaths were imminent as a large rune circle appeared under them "Yea you guys fucked up" he said as a flurry of bladed chains tore through the horde of dragons impaling them all.

as she struggled with the dragoness, Midnight saw the ground below approaching fast. turning in mid-air, they crashed into the ground. with the way she hit the ground, Midnight gasped for air as she was paralyzed. with pain filling her body, she saw the dragoness pick herself up and limp over to her. "die, you piece of trash," she said, as she raised her claw. "go ahead, kill your friend!" Midnight said, spitting the words as blood leaked from her mouth.

[Ixion]

Runes on the wall appeared as chains shot from it and wrapped around the dragoness limbs and immediately tightened to the point where it pinned the dragoness to the wall. Moments later Loth landed next to her almost as light as a feather.

seeing the chains bind the dragoness, Midnight looked at Loth. "don't hurt her!" she said, almost yelling the words. trying to move, she clenched her teeth as her body was unresponsive.

[Ixion]

"Relax i didnt plan on it the way you acted. Although no promises if she attempts to breath fire" he said as he walked to her placing a hand on her shoulder a rune activated as it mended whatever was wounded.

["Cosmos"]

growling at him, she snapped her jaws at him. "get your magic off me. magic ruined my race, and i will not accept its help," she said with a growl. looking at the dragoness, she looked her in the eyes. "please remember, back in the Jade Jungle," Midnight said, her eyes still locked with the dragoness's eyes.

[Ixion]

He watched her approach the dragon and watched. Returning his hand into his cloak. He wondered who this dragon was. Raising a hand he let off the light to illuminate the area.

as her body recovered from the paralysis, Midnight slowly picked herself up. standing up, she walked up to the dragoness. remaining silent, she stood there, looking the dragoness in the eyes. suddenly, she broke the chains and grabbed Midnight by the neck.
