Secrets of the Past and Conquerers

["Cosmos"]

as the dark clouds blotted out the afternoon sun over the Darkened Lands, the looming ruins of the Mountain of Malefor rose near the center of the realm. with the clouds seeming to originate from the mountain, the foreboding presence that once held the realm seemed to have faded since the mountains collapse. with communities coming out of hiding, the lights of villages dotted the dark landscape.

on the ruins of the summit of the Mountain of Malefor, a figure stood over the skeleton of a deceased dragon. in the glow that still permeated the liquid that once ran through the mountain, the light showed the figure was a female dragon-like humanoid. crouching down at the skeleton, the female wrapped her hand around a strange amulet that radiated a dark shadowy energy. deciding to put the amulet around her neck, the Dragonborn walked over to the ruined summits edge. looking out over the realm, she flexed her wings as the dark wind blew through her quill-like feather-hair and the tendrils that reached from her head.

[Ixion]

Sounds of battle further down the mountain could be heard as a hooded figure wielding two giant blades stood surrounded by a large amount of unnatural earth looking beings, many laid dead at his feet another charged him and he quickly slashed at it as it fell dead with it's companions "Foul beings, come meet your end at the edges of my blade."

["Cosmos"]

as the sounds of battle reached her hearing, the Dragonborn looked down the mountain ruins with her expert sight. seeing the earth-like beings attacking a robed figure, she clicked her tongue as she spread her wings wide. reaching her hand out, a large warhammer materialized in her grip. jumping out over the ledge, she dive-bombed towards the beings and the robed figure. reaching the warhammer over her head, she used her wings to halt her plummet as she smashed the head of the warhammer into the furthest being. as she landed and folded her wings close to her back, she swung the warhammer into another one, severing its arm and leg from its body.

[Ixion]

Suddenly a crack of lighting was heard as one of the blades had caught a lightning bolt and sparked it, every time he slew one another would fall as lightning bounced from one earthen target to the other. His other blade made clean cuts as more fell to his deadly dance of blades.

["Cosmos"]

smashing her warhammer into the last of the beings, the Dragonborn let out a breath as she stood up straight. throwing the warhammer over her shoulder as it faded away, she flexed her wings as she let the adrenaline wash out of her system. as the runes that permeated her body pulsed in the darkened light, she had her back to the robed figure.

[Ixion]

HE sheathed the lightning blade and compacted his other as he fit both of them into different holsters. Looking back he examined the new being "Your new." he said turning fully to her "Never seen your kind....almost draconic and kin alike"

["Cosmos"]

turning towards the robed figure, the Dragonborn looked at the figure. "i am a Dragonborn, and i am not of this world," she said, the amulet around her neck trying to wrap shadowy tendrils across her body. as the shadowy tendrils tried to lay upon her scales, the runes that permeated her body lashed out at the tendrils, making them retreat back to the amulet.

[Ixion]

He looked at the necklace and back to her "Perhaps you should dispose of that before it tries something" he said pulling his hood of reveal to be panther-kin.

["Cosmos"]

looking at the amulet, she shook her head. "i don't think i will do that. its needed for something i am planning," she said, raising her head to look at the Panther-kin.

[Ixion]

He extended his arms looking at her "Fine be me just be sure you have the will power to control that thing" he said indicating to the necklace and looked behind him "Although we have bigger company now" he turned as an enormous rock monster started to form "And he does not look happy to see us."

["Cosmos"]

turning towards the giant rock monster, she let out a puff of poison-like smoke out of her mouth. "this one is mine," she said, as she reached out her arm. turning fully towards it, a weird scythe appeared in her grip. grabbing the lower portion of the long handle with her other claw, she reached back and swung it with force. releasing it before making a full arc, it spun towards the rock monster like a boomerang. as it seemed like it would never even chip the creature, it instead sliced cleanly through the creature, spinning around the air like it had a mind of its own. after slicing through it several more times, it came back to the Dragonborn, were she caught it with an expert catch. flicking the blade of the scythe, the rock monster finally fell to pieces, unable to stay together.

[Ixion]

Nodding to her he waved a hand above the ground and made a rune circle and indicated up "Then that one is mine" he said as a large chained blade shot up splitting up half way and impaled a large stone bird that was cloaked.

["Cosmos"]

standing aside, the Dragonborn moved behind him as she watched him fight the stone bird. waiting for him to speak, she just watched him as the shadowy tendrils tried once again to spread itself across her body. once again, the runes made the tendrils retreat back to the amulet.

[Ixion]

He looked back at her and notice the runes "Rune magic?" he turned to her "I thought I was the only one" he said as he revealed a similar rune on his forearm.

["Cosmos"]

looking at his runes, she shook her head. "yours is magic, mine is a curse. these runes that cover my body are the tortures i endured in captivity. they are nothing good, except to remind me of my torment," she said, as she threw her scythe over her shoulder, the weapon fading away before it hit the ground.
