Homecoming

[Ixion]

Ixion woke up in the early morning of the day with a warm body beside him. Looking over to his side he smiled seeing his mate, he had guessed she had returned home the other night after he fell asleep. He smiled since all of their kids were sprawled out all over her and around her. Standing up he nuzzled her lovingly and walked out into the hall seeing his sister and their little child following close behind her "Morning sis, wheres your mate?"

"Out and about meeting the villagers and what not" she said with a smile "Gotta go have to give the soldiers their mission for today." she said walking one direction and Ixion the other.

Trisha flew high as she smiled looking around the familiar terrain. She was almost home, she had been told by her mother to return home and wait for her there. As she flew she couldn't wait to see her father's reaction to seeing Teresa again. She just hoped that Martivir didn't get to defensive after all, both of her parents have new mates.

opening an eye as the door was opened, Martivir slowly lifted her head as the door was closed. opening her mouth wide as a yawn left her mouth, she blinked her eyes several times to remove the sleepiness from them. feeling one of her children shift as they slept on her, she smiled as she shifted herself slightly. picking the youngling up gently, she laid it with the rest of her children as she lightly stood up. moving off the bed slowly to not disturb the children, she walked over to a container of water, and rubbed water onto her face. for several moments, she rubbed water onto her face, removing most of the effects of sleep.

walking through the streets of the city, the eyeless dragon just wondered with no set destination. helping any who needed help since leaving his mate so she could do her business, he stopped in front of a shop as child was helping an elderly dragon set up some items for purchase. walking up to them, he asked if there was any help he could be of use with. graciously accepting his help, the elder directed him to help with stacking items onto shelves, which he began to do with a simple nod. after nearly an hour, he waved goodbye to the child and elderly dragon, and began to return to walking down the street.

The children had feigned being asleep as they smiled and silently moved about the room and Ixion slipped in with a smile. Raising his paws and digits signaling a 3 count down they all said all at once "Happy Birthday!" they all shouted smiling.

As Lilly walked down the hall she smiled hearing the squeal upstairs she chuckled and continued walking planning on handing her present over later when she was fully awake.

jumping slightly as her children shouted, Martivir turned her head and smiled when she saw Ixion. "hello dear," she said, walking over to him and rose on her hind legs. placing her claws on his chest, she kissed him on his neck. "i hope you slept well, dear?" she asked, smiling as one of the children climbed onto her back.

walking for several more minutes, Tomanuri came to the end of the street. looking from one direction to another, he saw nothing more he could help with. turning back towards the direction he had come back, he began to walk to where his mate was.

AS Lilly neared the barracks she saw a familiar sight in the sky, raising a paw to her niece as she flew by she smiled as she flew straight to the manor. No one had seen the the other dragoness who had snuck into the lobby of the manor and patiently waited for the others to come.

Ixion smiled and kissed his mates neck back with a smile "Very well" he said with a smile as the one climbing onto her back smiled

"Open my present first mommy!" he said with a smile as the others rose their voices in protest causing their father to laugh.

smiling at their children, she looked to Ixion with a slight confused look on her face. "what is the occasion?" Martivir asked, looking up at her mate, still slightly sleepy.

making his way down one street and another, Tomanuri soon came upon the barracks. asking if his mate had been around, the guards told him that she hasn't been around yet. nodding, he sat down as he waited for her.

He chuckled at his mate nuzzling "Your birthday? remember?" he said with a chuckle as her children attacked each other playfully and her feet at the same time.

Lilly smiled when her mate came into view, smiling she nuzzled him and nodded "So darling what brings you here to my daily chore spot?" she asked.

Trisha landed hopping forward trying to pull a present out from a small bag and ran off to the room as the older dragoness who had snuck in watched her ran into the next room.

hearing it was her birthday, Martivir covered her face with her claw. "i had completely forgot. it has been so long since i even had a birthday. thank you dear," she said, smiling as she kissed him. "how did you know is was my birthday?" she asked, having forgotten when it was exactly.

smiling as he stood up, Tomanuri he faced his mate as she asked him the question. "i finished up helping the elderly and other things, and decided to come and be with you," he said, as he looked up to the sky. looking up at the clouding sky, he watched as it began to snow. changing his perception levels, he watched as the snow dropped slowly from the sky.

"You haven't seen many snowfalls have you?" she said sweetly as the snow began to fall from the sky. She snuggled up to him with a smile "It's lovely isnt it?" she asked.

Ixion chuckled "You have been talking in your sleep while i was awake" he said with a smile "We have been trying to find you some presents before it was that time. He said turning at the sound of the door and smiled.

"Sorry im late kinda got stuck in the oncoming snow storm" Trish said holding her present on her back "Happy birthday!" she said with a wide smile.

shaking his head slightly, he smiled at Lilly. "the Crystal Desert rarely gets snow, and even rarer for it to fall to the ground. it is beautiful," Tomanuri said, looking at her. suddenly, he remembered something from his home. raising his claw, he smiled as he looked at the snowflakes that landed on his claw. "it has been too long since i got to celebrate that. the festival of the Blizzards Veil," he said, looking at the snowflakes.

before she could say anything, Martivir looked at the door and saw Trish walk in. smiling, she waved at her. "thank you, dear. it seems this has been planned for a while now," she said with a giggle. turning to the bed, she stepped over her children and climbed onto the bed, laying down facing everyone else.

All the children pushed their presents to the front smiling widely at her waiting for her to open them as Trish and Ixion let the children go first with their presents to their mother "Terein how about you go first?" Ixion said indicating to the tannish daughter.

"Hmm dont think I heard about that one before" she said looking at him as their son hopped onto her tail as she lifted him onto her mate's head with a smile who stuck his tongue out catching the snow flakes.

giggling as she watched their children trying to get her to open their present first, she smiled as their tan-colored daughter handed her the present. opening it with care, she kissed her daughter on the forehead as she pulled out the necklace made of pretty stones. placing it around her neck, she said to her daughter, "thank you."

"it is a festival that honors the frozen land that turned into the Crystal Desert, and Ice Dragons flock to the city to help turn the desert into that frozen land for a single day," Tomanuri said, smiling as their son was placed on his head. standing on his hind legs and standing up straight, he reached up and ran his finger along their sons head.

"Telsa your next" he said with a smile as the bluish black colored one pushe dhis present forward and smiled wide his tail wagging fast at his other "Hope you like it mommy!" he said sweetly.

Lilly watched with a smile but felt, something off "Strong I feel like someone I knew a long time ago is around but I can't see them" she said with a shiver.

taking the present and opening it carefully, Martivir smiled as she took a prism that sparkled in the weakest of light. "thank you, Telsa. its pretty, and i do like it," she said, kissing her son on the forehead. setting present wrapping to the side, she awaited the next one.

looking at Lilly with a confused look, Tomanuri looked around with his non-physical sight. seeing no one, he looked to his mate. "what do you mean, dear?" he asked, as he picked up their son and held him in his arms.

on the highest rooftop of the tallest building in the city, a form shimmered into existence. as the form solidified and gained shape, the dragon looked from under its intricate robe down at the city. walking to the edge of the rooftop and jumping off, the male landed lightly and sniffed the air several times. sensing the person he had decided to follow, he began to walk towards the manor-looking building.

"I dont know, it's just that I felt a presence and it's not going away" she said looking at the manor "I'm going to finish my errand and we can head back" she said with a nod.

"Hmm how about Feros and Fenrir?" he said indicating to the twins who looked alike with only scale colors and the used one paw to push it forward each.

"here mommy" they said at the same time and smiled as well.

Trisha shuddered looking around feeling like someone was waiting for them. Outside several dragons dully noted the robed figure as it walke through the city.
