Jalon carefully crept along the volcanic environment, having come across the island a little while so after flying for so long in a random direction. He never truly was the kind to have an exact destination in mind and usually let his feet or wings take him wherever they lead him. With his partial blindness it was sometimes hard to tell where he was going and where he was a lot of the time, so he had relied on smell and feel to usually get around on top of taste and hearing. And with the air being heavy with the smell of ash and burning rock it was clear this had to be Munition's Forge, especially since all he had smelled for a while was the salty air of the ocean and now he barely heard it over the bubbling of the lava and occasional blast of hot air from crevices.
Though the first thing he had done after touching down was to carefully scope out a way to blend into the place, knowing his green coloration stood out against the black rock of the volcano. So he had found a good spot of ash to roll around in that'd help stain his scales black or least most of his body in black dust so he wasn't sticking out like a sore thumb there and get himself killed. Unlike most males he was not that strong nor that big, and on top of that he was partially blind which made it all the worse for him as he carefully moved, being able to see clearly only a few feet while everything else was blurred further or completely dark off to his others parts of is periferal vision. It was kind of a major drawback to the poison dragon but he had lived this long and he wasn't about to give it up now. So he just pushed onwards along the way as everything seemed calm for the time being and he had yet to come across anyone else. Or even food which made him from as he could feel hunger beginning to nag at him and so far there had been nothing.
Pausing, Jalon waved his paw for a moment to activate his psychometry which allowed him to see any previous people to come by and was in luck to see a native had come by. The name of the people escaped him but he would take it. Licking his chops the young dragon quicky began following the trail, relying on scent and hearing this time as he followed where the whatzmacallit for a short half hour until he could see the person having sit down to rest for a bit which was the perfect time to strike. Grinning the young dragon moved stealthily and silently behind the poor miner and before he could react Jalon bit down onto the unfortunate native who fell dead in no time, being a common act by such a young male. "Well that was easy, not exactly worried for being hunted." He commented to himself before he began to dig into what he saw as his rightful prey.
Though just as he was finishing most of his meal, blood covering his maw, teeth, claws, and some of his chest he paused as he heard someone approaching and realized he didn't have enough time to hide away. Hearing a step behind him that was when the young dragon turned with a warning growl, mostly protecting his prey from whomever was coming.
