Homecoming

[Ixion]

Ixion carried his mate into the library quietly as they snuck into the room with the sleeping kids as Trisha snored loudly twitching her body time to time causing her foot to twitch at random intervals. Lilly moved her head slightly to look up at the new comer and tilted her head not recognizing the new comer sleepily.

["Cosmos"]

smiling and holding in several giggles as they snuck into the library, she quietly climbed off Ixion's back and moved to the center of her children and their nephew. suddenly, she released a wave of darkness that surrounded each of the children and Trisha, and mini-Wraiths rose and scared them awake, even Trisha.

turning his head towards the newcomer, Tomanuri's neck popped without him doing anything. "well, it has been some time. did you learn the truth of your actions? cause my neck still hurts from your snapping it," he said, looking upon the amphibian creature.

[Ixion]

They all screamed awake and Ixion looked slightly shocked on how her method of waking them was as several children cowered in fear "Darling was that really necessary?" he asked looking at his mate coaxing two of the kids out from behind his feet.

Lilly became uninterested and laid her head back down and fell back to sleep quickly.

["Cosmos"]

laughing out loud as several of the children looked at her in fear, two of their children quickly got over the fear and laughed with her as they crawled onto her. "i think it was necessary. haven't gotten to do many birthday tricks before, and missing a couple thousand birthdays, i needed to do a really good trick," Martivir said, smiling at Ixion. "i'm sorry darlings, but in time, you'll be doing the same thing. its a tradition," she said, looking at all her children.

looking at Lilly as she fell back asleep, he was surprised she was trying to rip the newcomers neck out. "we have learned our mistake, and i was sent to thank you for showing us the truth," the amphibious creature spoke, bowing his head towards Tomanuri.

[Ixion]

The children came out slowly and within a few hours they were chasing and attacking each other again as they laughed and played Ixion watching them as they played looking at his mate "I wonder which ones will get a shadow" he said as he nuzzled her.

["Cosmos"]

"not sure, we'll have to wait and see," Martivir said, returning to nuzzle. suddenly, the lights in the library started to diminish and everything started to go dark. looking around, she saw the area around the twins was almost completely pitch black. "i guess we have a portion answer for that questions," as she looked at her children. narrowing her eyes, she saw that they didn't have any of the signs of Shadow-bonds, which started to worry her.

[Ixion]

"Whats wrong?" he asked as the room dimmed, he noticed that she was looking at the children and none of them had gained their shadowbounds and this confused him "Why did they not get a shadowbound?" he asked looking at his mate.

["Cosmos"]

"the twins, they are absorbing the very light, which should not be possible at their age," Martivir said, motioning for the twins to come to her. examining them as they laid next to her, her eyes widened when she saw a scar-like birthmark on the base of their necks. "the taboo," she said lowly, closing her eyes as she held the twins close.

[Ixion]

"The Taboo?" Ixion asked narrowing his eyes looking at his mate "What is that and why is it a taboo?" he asked looking at the confused twins who tilted their heads to different sides looking at their mother.

["Cosmos"]

lightly moving the twins head to show Ixion the mark, it resembled a swirl vortex with a flame in the middle. "the Taboo is a crime punishable by death of the child, and it occurs when a child is born of two different Lore families. "this mark shows they will be Light-eaters, never allowed to have a Shadow-bond," Martivir spoke, holding their twins close to her.

[Ixion]

"I'm not letting anyone touch them because of that reason" he said sternly "Taboo or not they are my children, this isn't the world of darkness" he said looking at his mate "I promise you that" he said pulling his mate into a hug.

["Cosmos"]

as she was brought into the hug, Martivir closed her eyes. "taboo to taboo, it happens again," she said lowly, raising a claw to the base of her neck. rubbing the spot where an old burned scar was at, the faint appearance of the taboo mark could be seen. groaning silently, she clutched her belly with her other claw.

[Ixion]

"Are you ok?" he asked looking at her with a worried face hoping it wasn't something bad.

["Cosmos"]

"its the last act of my father," Martivir said, then leaned away and started to throw up. grabbing her head, she coughed as she threw up once more. clutching at her belly as a pain shot up her spine, she curled up as she clenched her teeth.

[Ixion]

"What did he do?" he asked more worridly now holding his mate, her father was the main trouble of why the city became in peril and why he had almost lost his and his mate's life in the battle after it. He was hoping this was not serious that her life was to be endangered.
