The Ruby Demon meets the Vampire

[Ixion]

A ruby dragoness was flying through a rough storm as she was headed back to Warfang to retrieve her mate. She had spent several days in Valhalla seeing to it's restoration and fixing what was broken and now she was stuck in this storm. With a loud growl she couldn't continue on and was forced to land. Her body buckled as she flew lower and lower till she was on the ground panting in pain and exhaustion.

as the storm ravaged the Ebonic Mountains, the ruins of the ancient city that sat high in the mountains was barely visible in the darkness of the storm. from the shadows of the watchtowers that still stood, several female creatures kept watch at the distance. having pushed back several groups of members of The Order, they had been on edge for several days. with the storms arrival, it seemed to have given them a break from the siege.

as one of the females looked out upon the canyons in-between the mountains, she could see a form that was being battered by the storm. creating a sound with a shield, she motioned to the figure to a strange looking female. flying into the storm with its strong wings, it flew with speed towards the figure. swooping down as she was over the figure, she wrapped her arms and legs around the figure's body. lifting her off the ground, she flew with the figure to the safety of the watchtower.

The ruby dragoness looked up at the other weakly and let her body succumb to slumber. She was too weak to stay her sleepiness her thought worrying about the child growing in her belly.

Hearing birds chirp her head rose as she clutched her head in pain closing her eyes. She sighed and moaned in pain not noticing the two females in the room.

having given the female to two light armored females as she slipped asleep, they rushed her to the main entrance to the ruined keep. as they entered the massive ancient structure, one of the females took the ruby dragoness as the other made her way to her mistress. snaking her way through the many passages and many females peeking out sleepily at her passing, she soon came to the door to her mistress's chamber. pushing open the large doors, she moved in and started to breath heavy. as her mistress raised her head up and wiping the sleep from her eyes, she took the scroll that the female gave her. reading the update from the towers, she raised a brow at the last minute addition to the report.

as the storm continued outside, the sound of it outside barely reached this far into the fortress. to block out the remaining sound of the storm, the two females that watched over the dragoness had began to sing a small song in their avian language. hearing the dragoness wake up, their song began to come to an end as they turned to her, their appearance clear in the low light, appearing as bird-like creatures, but also looked like they were changed and altered.

With a groan she attempted to stood but almost fell catching herself from falling on her belly and the precious creature inside. She lowered herself onto her side in pain feeling a small scorch mark on her flank. "Well bloody fan-fucking-tastic" she said with a groan her wings folding over the mark.

moving over to her when she laid onto her side, one of them moved to check out her bulging belly. the other moved behind her, moving her wing to look at the scorch mark. making several avian sounds to the other female, the female that was checking the scorch mark slowly spit out a strange substance. smearing the substance over the scorch mark, her talons began to feel cool from the numbing effects of the substance. after running her talons over the dragoness's belly, she nodded at her, the let out several high pitched squawks.

as the squawks traveled through the passageways of the fortress, the mistress of the fortress raised her head as she read the almost untranslatable signal. clicking her claws onto the stone floor, two females came in and took her place in the bedding, the eggs and baby creature that rested in it laying peacefully in the clothing. making her way through the passageways to where the ruby dragoness was now, several of her first maidens followed behind her.

She almost got defensive as they approached her but feeling the cooling on the scorch mark she smiled "That actually feels good" she said with a smile looking at the one down by her belly. She then covered her eyes when they began to squawk.

["Cosmos"]

stopping their squawks shortly after starting, they turned their heads towards the door when the sound of claw-taps reached inside. watching the door open and the mistress of the entire fortress and all its occupants enter, they nodded at her as the did one more examination of the ruby dragoness to make sure she was okay.

"i hope the storm didn't cause you much harm. it may be harsh, but it is the only thing that protects this realm from dangers," the dragoness said, smiling sweetly at the ruby dragoness.

Looking at the newcomer she nodded "It's fine and I think you for pulling me out of that storm, i'm just wondering how i got hit by a bolt and didn't get knocked from the air." she said sitting up gently her pregnancy could be noticed.

["Cosmos"]

"don't worry, from what my maidens can tell, your experiencing sensation loss, which would explain it well. and your perfectly fine, along with your soon-to-be offspring," she said, as the two avian females brought a few large cushions over and positioned them so the dragoness could sit comfortably without much effort. after helping her, they ran their talons along her body once more, making sure that their examination was accurate. letting out a series of low chirps, she nodded at them with a smile. "its amazing, their ability to accurately read and sense how a being is. their ability was only heightened by their new alteration," she said, getting smiles from the two avian females. moving over to them, she smiled sweetly at them as she spoke, "thank you for your help. go take your sister and have fun. we can handle things if the storm passes." looking at each other, they quickly left the chamber, giggling as they made their way to their personal chamber.

She watched the avian like creatures leave the room and looked at her "What are they I have never seen a creature like them before." she asked sighing in relief while laying on the cushions with ease.

["Cosmos"]

looking at the door that was now closing, the dragoness smiled. "they were sister Hawk-kins who somehow made it across the ocean from the Trianax Realms. i found them a few weeks ago, near-death and their bodies broken enough to never heal properly. i brought them here and we were able to heal them, but unable to repair the damage to their bodies. so, i changed them with my power, giving them a new chance at life. they decided to stay with me, and the rest of my maidens," she said, as the females that had followed her fully entered the room and sat against the wall. turning to fully face the ruby dragoness, she smiled at her as she asked, "so, what would your name be, dear?"

"I'm Lilly, Ruby Demon of the Lores and Sister to Regent-Lord Ixion of the Lores." she said waving her paw "Also princess to the Burning Desert although i won't inherit the throne." she said with a sigh "Sorry for the long intro but im always obligated to tell it because of rank and formality and what not" she said with a sigh.

waving a claw at her, she smiled at Lilly. "its ok. my name is Convexia, former Shadow of Malefor," she said her name, spitting at having said her so-called title.

"Former Shadow huh?" she shook her body "Geas or mind control" she asked expecting some sort of hypnosis that it would be the answer.
