It had been a few weeks since Crete had decided to set out to find her parents, to try and make amends that had been long overdue. It also had been a little while since she last saw Fhira, both having eventually separated for a while as she went to seek out more clues to where her parents could possibly be. She had searched out in Dante's Freezer, with her father being a water dragon she half expected them to be there but there had only been a very, very stale scent that lead no where. After that failed attempt her next destination had been to come to Tall Plains, a place where she found herself feeling more at home than at Concurrent Skies.

Having landed only a few minutes ago Crete walked towards the ledge of a grassy cliff, looking down upon valley covered in various kinds of trees, a river running through it. Crete had to admit, it was a lovely place to stop for a bit and give her aching wings a break and to get a feel of the land before she would continue her search. And right now she could use a long drink.

Peering around, the diamond-scaled dragoness saw more ledges big enough she could jump down. Even with her unusually large size she was able to leap from one to the next, the necklaces around her neck swinging wildly but otherwise remaining securely in place. When reaching the bottom Crete gave a quick sniff and glance around before she headed through the trees, easily weaving her body in and out of the trees. Even the small shrubbery did little to get in her way as she began to hear the rushing water which allowed her to find her way more easily to the crystal, clear water.

She gave it a few quick sniffs to be sure it was safe before finally lowering her head and beginning to drink. All the while, the young dragoness was for the moment content and for once had her guard down only slightly as she tried to relax.

having traveled for quite some time to reach the island realm of Tall Plains, the uncorrupted black-furred Ape walked through the jungle. making her way around trees for a few hours, she periodically looked to the sky through gaps in the treetops, catching the glimpse of her mount, a beautiful violet uncorrupted Dreadwing. after several hours, she soon came to an ledge that overlooks a large portion of the jungle and field filled realm. seeing the closest river and lake, she smiled as she began to leap down the ledges and using the trees to help her down.

spending a good hour to get down, she soon was on the last ledge that stood between her and the lake. breaking into a run, she used the trees to speed herself. as the ledge came upon her, she jumped off it and soared through the air. having taken off her clothes before this and had given them to her mount, she spun slightly in mid-air. positioning herself, she dove right into the water, swimming under the water towards the shore. unknown to her, the special paint that covered her fur had dried up on the trip here and easily washed off as she swam. breaking the surface of the water, she breathed slightly deeply as she swam around the center of the lake.

When finishing drinking from the river Crete yawned softly before she sat down along the bank, pondering of where she would begin her search there on the island of Tall Plains. It was a vast area like that of Dante's Freezer and Concurrent Skies it would take her a few days before she could search a great expanse of it. Even then it was not a guarantee that she'd find any signs of her family. But her mind soon began to wander back to her meeting with Fhira, the hydra dragon she had found herself taking a great liking too and somehow she had developed a deep liking to them, especially Ra. It was still a strange feeling even to this day, making her unconsciously touch the necklace which held the phoenix feather of their mother and she always was deep down hoping they were safe. Of course, she didn't doubt their abilities after what she had seen but that didn't mean she wouldn't worry.

These thoughts were soon interrupted as she heard a splash down stream, making her stand and turn towards the source. Tilting her head she wondered it had been a branch, fish, or a fruit of some kind that had fallen and began to head towards the source to investigate. Though soon the specks of black capture her attention, the diamond-like dragon watching it flow past her before something popped up that made her tense a bit as a natural reaction from her usual ways. And much to her surprise it was an albino ape, one resembling those who had been under Malefor yet different at the same time. "Well wasn't expecting to see someone so soon of arriving here."She commented, still a bit tense as she watched Midnight Stalker.

as she continued to swim, she suddenly heard the voice. letting out a surprised 'eep', she spun around in the water towards the diamond-like dragoness. as she waded in the water, her cheeks slightly blushed as she had been swimming with no clothes on. "i'm sorry if i disturbed you, miss," she said, looking at the dragoness. then she noticed the specks of black paint. growing worried, she placed her fingers to her mouth and let out a whistle. swimming to the shore quickly, a violet Dreadwing landed by the shore as she climbed out. as she quickly moved to the pack on the bat-like creatures back, a whispy fox with two tails jumped off the back of the Dreadwing. "you should know that the paste will wear out," the fox said, its voice having a feminine touch. "i know, but it has been too long," the female Ape said, as she continued to hastily search the pack, but growing worried.

Realizing why the albino ape was shocked Crete turned her head away slightly, just realizing the ape wasn't exactly clothed at this time. "You didn't disturb me at all, I didn't even realize that was you who made the splash until now." She assured her, keeping her gaze the other way until she heard Midnight Stalker out of the water. Finally giving a side glance and seeing it was safe she looked back at the small group, quite surprised to see it was a Dreadwing, but this time one that was actually quite beautiful compared to those under Malefor's forces. And the wisp was certainly something of a rare sight.

Though what did she need the paste for? "Why would you want to hide how you look? Being different to your species shouldn't be anything shameful."Crete told her, quite puzzled why this young ape was wanting to hide her fur. To be honest, she had never seen an albino ape before but recognized the unusual trait and found it interesting someone would want to hide such a trait. It didn't seem like a bad thing in her opinion but perhaps the female ape had her reasons.

as she listened to the dragoness, she let out a sigh when she found the empty bottle that was her paste. placing the bottle back, she slide off the Dreadwing's back. "i am the only known albino Ape, and most want to see the Apes destroyed, even though i am uncorrupted. plus, it is a reminder of the name that i have forsaken," she spoke, turning towards the dragoness. looking at her with her scar-covered eyes, the movements of the dragoness almost looked slightly slower in her eyes.

"I see."Crete said, observing this female ape far more closely and seeing the scars upon her eyes making her wonder what could have possibly happened to this albino ape. Sure yes she had been a little uneasy when seeing it was an ape, having taken many of her brethren down by her own claws. But if Midnight Stalker had been anything close to being one of those corrupted she'd figured she'd have attacked first. It wasn't a secret many of the apes still loathed to dragons.

Sitting back on her haunches the adult dragoness turned her gaze towards the forest and the river as she spoke, "It might be possible the paste you need you could likely remake out of the plants here. There's certainly many places to look."She said as she looked towards her once more. "Though you do have a point, after what the apes have done there really isn't much peace between us and your kind, least the corrupted ones that still lurk about. But usually if you were one of them I figured you'd have attacked first."

listening to her, she shook her head. "the herbs needed to make the paste is only found in the Ape homeland of the Jade Jungle. and you are right, the dragons do hate us Apes. luckily, or unfortunately, i am the last of my kind. the corruption in the Apes that wonder the land no longer are Apes, but creatures that share our skin," she spoke, looking at the sky. as she closed her eyes, she opened them and looked down as the whispy fox nudged her leg. "i think its time to get dressed," the fox said, her clothes in its maw. blushing, she took the clothes and put them on. "i don't think we introduced each other. my name is Midnight Stalker, and this Reawing and Zia," she said, as the Dreadwing and the fox smiled in turn.

"Sounds familiar for my kind,"Crete agreed when thinking back to having to take down several of the dragons who fell to the dark side. But it wasn't an uncommon occurrence when even today dragons still turned to the wicked side, even if they weren't Shadowseekers or influenced by them there was always something. Though she nodded in understanding of hearing the herds she needed weren't anywhere else which had to make it quite difficult to even be able to hide who you were.

When Midnight Stalker introduced herself and her companions Crete gave quick nods to each, "Nice to meet you three, my name is Crete. I've come a long way myself from Concurrent Skies, mostly seeking to repair bonds of my past." She said, already having another destination in mind and that would be Warfang. More than likely she could find clues there and was quite unaware of the fact she in fact had a sister there at the temple.

"it is nice to meet you too, Crete," she said, as the wispy fox jumped onto her shoulder. taking the daggers from the side pack on the Dreadwing, she placed them on her waist. "who of your family are you searching for? cause i may be able to help you," she asked, as she stretched her arms and legs.

"It's my parents." Crete answered her and sighed, "Long ago I forced them away from my birth place so I could be more independent of them and didn't need them many years back. But now I want to make amends for my mistake, you could say I had some rethinking from my initial thoughts thanks to my mate."She explained to Midnight Stalker and tapping the necklace which held the crimson colored phoenix feather. "One of them is not exactly much different than the way I look, she's more of a cream white dragon with similar silver wings."

listening to her, Midnight nodded as she thought on the description. suddenly, she remembered seeing a dragoness by that description. "i think i remember seeing a dragoness by that description when i was last in Warfang. if my memory hasn't failed me, i saw her somewhere near the temple," she said, tapping her chin with a finger.

"Really?"Crete seemed hopeful now at the possibility of such a lead, but found it even more joyful with the fact that was her intended destination. "Actually it's funny you mention this, my intended destination after here is Warfang. When so many dragons gather there it seems a logical destination from here on out."She told her, looking quite relieved that there was some break in her search. But she still was unknowing that her parents were killed and the only family she had left were three siblings, two of which were out on their own and a sister that was there at the temple.

nodding at her, Midnight looked towards one of the jungle peaks take could be seen. narrowing her eyes, she saw the split-second flash of a green burst. "before you make your way to Warfang, would you mind helping me track the monster that i am here for?" she asked, pulling a strange sword wrapped in cloth from a pack.

Crete turned her head while watching Midnight, wondering what she was looking for before a flash of green caught her attention and she looked towards the peak. What exactly was that? "I don't mind helping but what kind of monster are you after exactly?"She asked, now turning towards the peak with narrowed eyes, crouching as she seemed ready to lung up towards the source of the green burst.
