New Tricks

[Ixion]

"you are nothing, you are but mirages that do not exsist. You are lies and false truths." she said as she walked away from them not looking at the fakes. She remembered something her birth mother had told her many years ago when she was very young. It was that the truth can only be seen from the eye of ones heart. Closing her eyes she continued to walk.

["Cosmos"]

growling at her, the vision began to distort. roaring in agony, the figures faded away, as one figure of a Wolf-kin stepped towards her. "you have passed the first trial, a trial of truth. you have shown that your heart holds the kindness towards us that dragons despise to admit." after the figure stopped talking, it faded away.

[Ixion]

She was shocked to see the Wolf-kins image and nodded at what she said. Turning she continued on her way deeper into the cave holding the stick with both hands ready to attack anything that attacked her. She suddenly came to a dead end and started to look around.

["Cosmos"]

as the gases covered the floor thickly once again, the air seemed to become heavy this time. appearing once again, the Wolf-kin spoke, "the trial of the body. can you figure the way?" upon the end of speaking, the figure faded once again.

[Ixion]

She touched the wall looking at it up and down and then noticed. It was a block and very big block. Leaning against it she began to pushed as a grinding sound could be heard as the block moved inch by inch.

["Cosmos"]

moving slightly as it seemed that brute force would solve it, the wall suddenly lurched back. knocking the dragoness over, the wall returned to its original position. "brute force is not the answer for all," the voice rang off the walls.

[Ixion]

She tapped her chin as she stood from falling over "If brute force wont work..." she looked at the floor and notice move marks but also a small hole she trailed it up the wall and saw a small outcropping rock. Walking up to it she gave it a good punch and a click was heard hearing a grinding noise she turned to see the rock move.

["Cosmos"]

as the wall changed slightly, a small passage opened up in the wall. "you have passed the first stage of the trial of the body," the voice spoke, as a opening opened up into a darkened chamber. the moment that the dragoness stepped in, the chamber lit up by the light of fire along the walls. in the middle of chamber, a strange obelisk sat in the middle of the chamber. around it, four holes sat in the ground, each pointing to a different direction, but one pointing to the direction of the opening. within each side of the obelisk, a hole could be seen in each face of the obelisk. the moment the dragoness stepped within the chamber though, the mist that permeated the chamber instantly took its effect on her, weakened her dramatically.

[Ixion]

She fell to her knew panting her body shivering "I must continue" she stood looking at the obelisk. With her strength serverily weakened she looked at the holes and and saw the arrows. She aw the arrow pointing to the door and thought it too easy. So she went to the other holes and examined them. Taking the stick she pushed it into the hole hearing a click. She looked to where the arrow pointed.

["Cosmos"]

once the clicking sound echoed off the walls, the door suddenly shimmered, then faded away. after a few seconds, the walls shimmered, then was cloaked in shadows as the light receded to the center of the chamber, where the obelisk sat. as the lights receded, the opening closed shut, sealing the chamber. with the mist severely weakening her, it began to affect her senses, except for her touch.

[Ixion]

She gasped but stood up with effort moving to the net "I cannot surrender even here!" she shouted as she slammed the stick into the next hole hearing a click.

["Cosmos"]

"commendably, but you will surrender soon. without the abilities and senses that you dragons think yourself so highly with, you are nothing more then the weakest of fresh-born babies." as the voice rang around the room, the obelisk rotated back into its original position.

[Ixion]

She continued to move gritting her teeth ignoring the voice as she slammed another hole and heard a serious of clicks this time and looked at the door.

["Cosmos"]

as what looked like a door appeared on one of the walls, another series of clicks rang through the chamber. because of her sight being severely weakened, the dragoness was unable to see the shimmer that the door made, telling the sign that it was an illusion.

[Ixion]

She looked at the door rubbing her eyes as if determining to see if it was real. Nothing felt right and acting on instinct she went to the next hole sluggishly she jammed the stick into the next and final hole.
