New Tricks

[Ixion]

A adult sized dragoness flew through just barely above the tree tops of the enchanted forest. She felt care free and happy, her body sporting small red and ash feathers in her fur mane and shown like silk in the sun. Seeing a small lake she sighed in relief and went down towards it with a smile. Landing at it's edge she dipped her snout in and drank.

as the sun made its way through the sky, the Enchanted Forest held little of its shiny glory that revealed itself once the sun has gone down. as the insects of the forest sounded through the trees, the sounds of watterfalls filled the area of the Twilight Falls. near the small body of water that created the rivers that ran through the forest, a house made of materials of the forest sat nestled along the mountain cliff-wall, hidden by trees that grew close to the mountain wall.

as the sound of pups playing came from inside the house, a female Wolf-kin with fur like arctic snow sat on a bed, watching them with a smile. as the sound of grass being disturbed reached her ears, her ears twitched because of the sound. turning her head towards the door to the house, her children looked at their mother, pausing what they were doing and froze in place. standing up, she grabbed her weird bat-wing bladed axe and crescent moon sword. placing a claw to her lips at them, her pups watched her as she opened the door and slipped out. moving quiet, she moved to the trees nearest the small lake at the base of the falls. seeing the dragoness, she placed her back to the tree. "intentions?" the Wolf-kin spoke loudly, holding the handle of the axe with one hand, with her weird crescent moon sword handle in the other.

[Ixion]

"Eep!" the voice startled her causing her to fall into the water and when she emerged she looked at the being tilting her head "Intentions? Oh uh i was just passing through and intended to stop for the night" she looked around to try to find the source of the voice "Umm who said that?" she asked getting out of the water.

["Cosmos"]

clenching her hand hard around the handle of the axe, she almost effortlessly threw the axe into the air. with a precision that was amazing, the axe arced through the air and slammed into the ground a few feet from the dragoness's right claw. throwing her crescent blade, it sailed through the air like a boomerang, which then stuck into a tree stump on her left side. stepping out from behind the tree, she walked forward, her hand behind her back, wrapped around the handle of a crystal dagger that was sheathed on her back. examining her with her eyes, the Wolf-kin nodded. "sorry for the harsh welcome. there have been a lot of Shadowseekers around lately, and i have a family to protect," she said, taking the crystal dagger from its sheath and sticking the blade into the ground.

[Ixion]

She was startled by the blades landing near her feet but didn't flinch when she saw the the being talk and walk out she nodedd "Shadowseekers, Yea i ran into a few not to long ago. I was able to kill them of course not without some effort but i got it done." she looked around the area "So you live here?" she asked laying down so she was eye level with the Wolf-kin.

["Cosmos"]

"yes, we do live here. its nice and quiet most of the time, so it's nice to raise pups here," she said, picking up her crystal dagger. placing it back into its sheath, she walked over to the axe, and with one hand, picked it up from the ground. walking over to the crescent blade, she easily removed it from the tree trunk. looking up to the sky, she sniffed the air several times. "you don't seem like a threat, so you can follow me. there is something coming this way anyway, so it would be best if you come with me," she said, walking back into the trees, towards her home.

[Ixion]

She nodded and followed the Wolf-kin cautiously. She may not seem like a threat but she knew nothing of this unusual wolf-kin and had to be prepared for just about anything but when she heard pups she relaxed and followed her knowing that a mother would attack only to protect her young.

["Cosmos"]

moving in-between the trees, the Wolf-kin listened for any sounds that were out of place, her ears twitching back an forth. taking several minutes to return, she soon saw the building that was well built to be hidden in plain sight. walking up to the door, she turned her head to the dragoness. "sorry for the lack of space. we kinda built the place for ourselves, and not for guests," she said, then entered and smiled at her pups.

[Ixion]

She followed with a smile looking at the pups and waved at them "Hiya" she said happily. She loved kids and since she had brother and sisters she enjoyed playing with them so she felt natural around kids.

["Cosmos"]

seeing the dragoness, the three pups hid behind their mother. peeking out from behind her to look at the dragoness, she gave her pups a smile as she looked down at them. looking at the dragoness, she spoke, "most of the time, the only dragons we see around here are ones that attack us. so don't it personal if they don't warm up to you," she said, smiling slightly as she moved over to a bed. sitting down, she looked over her home for the tenth time that day. small, close to being cramped, being only one whole room in total, she smiled as she thought of how it reminded her of her home back in the north. then her thoughts turned to her mate, which made her smile fade away.

[Ixion]

She looked at her and noted her face of sadness "You thinking of their father?" she asked quietly and laid down "What happened?" she asked wondering if she could do anything to help her cheer up.

["Cosmos"]

looking at her, she narrowed her eyes slightly, but relaxed her body. "yeah, i am. he left to go back to the forests of Avalar around a month ago, and i haven't heard any word from him since," she spoke, as she looked at her children. "i would go look for him, but i can't leave them alone, or let anyone know about them," she said, as she helped the pups onto the bed.

[Ixion]

She thought for a moment "I could go look for you" she said with a smile "But I'm still fresh and if you know anyone who could train me in anything then i'll be good" she said with a big smile.

["Cosmos"]

"don't worry, Kifel knows how to escape danger. also, he is a better shot then i am, by a long shot," she said, as she smiled when one of her daughters pulled on her hair. watching her second daughter slip off the bed and cautiously approach the dragoness, she spoke, "i'm not sure if i know anyone that could teach a dragon. i am a master blade-wielder and crafter, but i don't think that would help you."

[Ixion]

She smiled "Oh im sure you can treach me something" her body began to change as she started to stand bipedal and smiled as she was bit smaller.
