"don't worry, i understand the trust issues. i'm a Dawnseeker, but everyone still thinks of me as a Shadowseeker, like you do, Teresa," Azuris spoke, as he ate the rest of the vine. suddenly, he turned around quickly and spread his wings wide, summoning a wall of telekinetic energy. as soon as he summoned the shield, it was slammed into by a blast of thunder. when the thunder stopped, he growled at the incoming figures, sensing instantly what they were.

Turning she nodded "Sorry but I smelt the venom before asking, like these guys shadowseekers tend to fight first and converse never" she stood flaring her wings "How many?" She asked looking to the trees.

"That explains your scent being so different, only reason I haven't attacked yet." Erebos said, having smelled something off about Azuris but didn't say anything until it was truly confirmed. Besides, Teresa would have been fighting Azuris if he had been a true Shadowseeker so he was kinda glad this wasn't the case but quickly turned when the two reacted the way they did, his wings up slightly and crouching a bit. "Three of us should be able to handle quite a few I'd think."He commented to Teresa.

scanning the trees, the poisonous water under his claws told him an accurate count. "twenty, twenty-five, thirty. twenty Shadowseekers, ten others. this doesn't look good," he said, as his gaze washed over the trees. suddenly, another thunder strike made its way towards Erobos, which he quickly got between him and the attack, stopping it mere inches from hitting himself. "this is not good, their Purebloods, which is unusual," Azuris said, finding it highly suspicious that Shadowseekers of this caliber were working together for just a hunt.

"Then they know who they hunt, but it still wont be enough even if I just revived" she said as her body began to grow and crunch as lightning arced across her scales staining them white and blue. The membrane in her wings turned into pure white feathers and her body grew in size as she stepped forward "Come children of shadows meet the light of the thunder" she shouted her body rippling with pure primal energy.

"It's not quite a hunt Miss Teresa, least it doesn't seem that way." Erebos said, surprised a bit by her transformation but quickly taking flight by reflex as the thunderbolt came though luckily Azuris took the chance to stop it which gave him a chance to at least have some vantage point. "They might be after our souls Azuris, but for now we'll just have to watch for some signs of what they might be after." He told them as he quickly dove downwards it seemed right towards the ground but he slowed enough on the opposite bank and seemed to melt right into his own shadow on the ground.

Shortly after this same shadow went streaking across the ground at surprising speeds before Erebos came in the middle of these Shadowseekers, least the first twenty. He shot upwards with a spiral of shadow energy around his body, having heard some rumors that Purebloods did have a weakness to Elements. He just hoped his Darkness element attack would force them to separate as he flew upwards again to avoid a counter attack.

still scanning the trees, he knew something was amiss. "this isn't normal. Purebloods don't work together well, and the way they attack isn't the hunting variety. Teresa, i need you to scattering them from that area," he spoke, pointing to an area near where Erebos was fighting. diving into the poisonous water, he swam towards the spot and and waited.

"I can do more than that" she said as she shot out a blot of lightning from her maw that cooked three almost instantly causing the rest to scatter about making sure the bolt wouldn't hop to them but kept moving as she shot bolt after bolt at them.

"If you need them scattered already ahead of you two on that,"Erebos called to them as he dove down close enough to gather darkness around his body before creating small feather-shaped shadow blades around himself. Watching the rest scatter he flapped his wings hard as a motion to send the shadow feathers raining down upon the Purebloods but it only seemed to make them angry despite also causing them pain. Though he began to wonder if they were after their souls.

bursting from the water near where the Purebloods were shattering, Azuris fought through the Shadowseekers as he got to where he suspected something was up. he was right. spinning around and smashing his tail into one of the Purebloods heads, he took a quick look at what was on the ground. "by the gods," he said, as he backed away. dodging a Shadowseekers attack, he shouted, "run!" breaking into a run, he dodged through trees as he rushed to get away from the object. as he reached a safe distance, the object activated, plunging tendrils of pure darkness into anything within range, dragging their souls into the object as it left husks of what it took.

Teresa had grabbed Erebos and with her signature speed brought him out and next to Azuris "What in the hells was that?" she asked setting Erebos down wondering if he would be alright from his little faster than light travel.

Erebos had stopped when he watched Azuris, wondering what he was searching for until he suddenly heard his yell. That was never a good sign and just as he was about to move he found Teresa grabbing him, making him actually snarl in surprise and slight annoyance of being carried like he was. The speed though was slightly disorienting but nothing he couldn't handle, being quite use to going fast speeds himself. And soon as he was set down his neutral face became one of annoyance towards Teresa.

"You know I do have wings and can move fast enough to run away when it's necessary, I don't need older dragons doing that for me." He growled at her, making it quite clear he could handle himself before he looked towards Azuris and trying to bring back his composure. "What exactly was that thing?"

breathing heavily, Azuris raised his head towards Teresa and Erebos. "that thing was suppose to be a myth. a soul-stealing device, able to steal souls out of any being. those Shadowseekers weren't hunting us, they were trapping us to use it," he said, as his breathing began to mellow out. suddenly, he grew worried, searching around for the lagomorph. feeling the smack on his head, the lagomorph shakily climbed off his back. "i'm so sorry," he said, picking her up and holding her.

She looked at Erebos "Sorry but you didn't react quickly enough darling and that thing was going fast" she said as she looked at the hare "I she alright as well?" she asked hovering in the air.

"I can move fast enough to outfly that thing." Erebos remarked back to her before looking back towards the Lagomorph as Azuris was calming the poor thing down. Though he turned back slightly to look towards where they had been, his guess still in a way correct with that they were after their souls. But why use such a device when a Pureblood could easily have taken their souls just by themselves? It made no sense to the young adult dragon.
