Lost On the Island

[Ixion]

A young adult purple dragon was flying as a storm raged, her scales where purple and tinged blue and white. Her wings had straight white fathers and not much else looked off about her. "This storm! Why does it feel so unnatural, out of place with nature!?" she could be seen struggling against the head winds as they blew at her. She still tried to make her way but something seemed to agitate the storm as it pushed her harder and harder.

Suddenly she heard something snap and she screamed in agony when the second snap was heard. Her body suddenly felt heavy as she plummeted towards the water below. This scared her, she had been thinking she was flying above land. As soon as she hit the water her body was thrown as debris in the water slammed into her cutting her and breaking more bones. She desperately swam to the surface to try to get some breath. As soon as he heard breached the surface and gasped for air she regretted it. A waterspout was heading her way.

Struggling to escape it she tried to swim but was swept up into it. As she spun the last thing she saw was a far off island as she then passed out. She felt the warm sun beat onto her body as she opened her eyes, she was laying on a beach. Trying to stand she found out that she had broken several bones in the storm. She sighed and when she stretched her wings she screamed in pain as tears flooded her eyes. Looking back she saw that one wing was snapped in half and the other missing membrane and broken as well. She then collapsed as she struggled to reach her mind out to someone, anyone nearby.

as the storm ravaged the island once again this very day, the large and ancient temple stood prominent on the island. for several hours, the storm lashed at the temple, trying its best to try and bring the ancient structure crashing down, to no avail. standing at one of the large openings that opened the large Guardian chamber to the outside, a single dragon stood looking outside, unaffected by the fierce winds that gusted into him.

as the storm began to diminish to a mere cloud bank and the sea calmed down, three large constructs made of pure crystal emerged from the sandy bars of the beach. clambering from the sands, they lumbered towards the wounded dragoness. as one of them stood over her, it raised its large hand up to smash her, but it stopped on the downswing, receiving the command to stop from the occupant of the large temple. sinking back into the sands, a crystal spider-like creature crawled from the sands and skittered side to side as it examined her. spreading a silk-textured webbing over her, the webbing made it so that she wouldn't move, thus preventing more injury. gently picking her up and carrying her, it made its way to the temple, with her on its back.

carrying her up the steps of the temple, it made its way into the entrance chamber of the large temple. traveling through several passages, it carried the dragoness so gently that it was like she was floating. pushing open a large set of doors, the spider-like creature moved over to a large bed and gently laid her on the soft bedding. carefully removing the silk-textured webbing from her broken and batter body, it left the room with only the sound of its skittering steps diminishing to the distance.

When the crystal giants appeared she could only semi watch as it moved to attack her but stopped. Breathing heavily as she began to lose consciousness again she watched as the spider spun it's silk and carried her away passing out just before they entered the main doors. There she slept for days as her body tried to recover but something about the island interfered with her natural healing process and the injuries lingered longer.

On the seventh day she finally awoke opening her eyes slowly she found herself in a room that looked like it was made for a princess or some other royalty. She laid there trying to get her bearings, she then finally sighed and tried to stand successfully doing so she semi limped to the door and when she tried to open it she found it was being opened by someone else.

waiting the entire seven days until the dragoness awoke, the only occupant of the temple looked out upon the ocean towards the mainland. letting out a depressed sigh, a small crystal bulb spider skittered up to him. looking at it, he nodded at it, letting out another sigh. grabbing his cloak, he fitted it over his body and covered his head with the hood. making his way through the passages of the temple, he soon came upon the door to the room that the dragoness was in.

knocking lightly, he opened the door slightly to look in. seeing the dragoness near the door, he opened it and walked in, closing the door behind him. pointing to the bed, he motioned for her to rest.

She shook her head at his command "No, not untill ungh!" she said as she collapsed in great pain as her body had a sudden convulsion "n..not untill I...get some answers" she managed to say standing back up looking at the cloak figure panting. IT was a dragon although she wasn't sure if he was like those other crystal things she had seen.

"Where am I, who are you and how did i end up here?" she asked as she found it difficult to stand as she let out another grunt of pain collapsing to her knees again. She didn't understand, why was her body this weak.

sighing under the hood, he moved to her side and helped her to the bed. laying her onto the bed, he sat on his hind legs as he pulled his claw from under the cloak. remaining silent, a glowing light engulfed his claw as he channeled it into her. growing from his claw, a crystal matched the crystals that grew from the temple itself. using his Light to stop any serious injuries, he looked over her with his eyes.

As she felt the crystals try to prevent any damage to her body she couldn't help but feel his eyes roam her body. But she was to tired to care and suddenly she started to fall asleep her body wanting to recover some of the damage itself. The next morning she heard what sounded like chirping and raised her head to see a small crystalized bird by the head of her bed. Getting up she extended a claw out to it and slightly moved it out of the window when the bird jumped onto it and flew away.

Standing up and walking to the door a little easier now, she opened it and went out into the hall. Looking either way she turned left and began walking as she looked at the rooms she passed and noticed many of them were filled with books, crystal and many other things. She fought the urge to take items and continued to walk.

standing in the Guardian chamber that was his private quarters, the robed dragon looked out upon the ocean. with his eyes closed, his sight was connected to the small crystal spider that followed the dragoness. watching her as she weakly walked down the passages, several large crystals suddenly burst from the walls to block several passages when he clicked his claws against the floor. blocking most passages that lead away, he lead the dragoness to his private chambers.

When the first of the crystals blocked her way she was shocked and continued down the other hallway only to find that some of the halls would be blocked as soon as she came to them. She was being guided and she knew it but for what reason. Was she some prisoner or was she being helped.

She finally came to some doors to which she suspected lead to whoever owned the place. With a sigh she pushed to doors open and walked in. Looking forward she looked at the dragon who was without his cloak this time.

opening his eyes, the dragon stayed standing, facing the opening. using his tail to point to the bed, he waited for her to make an action. looking out upon the calm ocean, he let out a depressed sigh when he thought of his beloved and children back on the mainland.

Moving to the bed she laid in it as her limbs began to relax and she sighed in relief and looked at him "Where am I to start with?" she said looking at him the sun blocked her vision of him so it was hard to tell what he looked like. She then felt the aura of sadness around him looking at him "You left your family behind on the main land and you can't leave huh?" she asked looking at him.

["Cosmos"]

turning his head slightly, he looked at her. "this is the temple of the Crystal Guardian," he said, then looked away when she asked about his family. "i have no place in the community of the world, and it saddened me greatly to leave my family. its not in my place to leave anyway," he said, lifting his claw up. telekinetically closing silkish drapes over the openings of the chamber, it limited the light so that the chamber dimmed in brightness.

"The Crystal Temple, odd that name sounds familiar like an old story I read one time" she mumbled and then she looked back up to him "How bad were my wounds?" she asked telling herself that they couldn't be too bad and that she can leave withing a few days.

["Cosmos"]

turning towards her when she asked how bad her wounds were, he looked over her body once again. "not good, that is for sure. your lucky to even be alive," he said, as he walked over to her. raising his claw, he spread the fingers wide. "to start, both of your wings are broken, with the membrane on one nearly ripped away. next, three broken ribs, and many more fractured. left arm and right leg are broken, with fractures throughout the left arm. your spine has taken enough damage that even the lightest strike will completely and permanently remove your ability to move. overall, your not going anywhere for a while," he said, lowering his claw. "i blocked your ability to feel pain for the most part, that is why your even conscious."

She frowned "But what about my healing factor, most of the damage would have been healed by now" she said looking at the many bandages attached around her body. In fact she shouldn't have any broken bones right now that should've healed as well she. This was confusing her a great deal now.
