Lost On the Island

stopping when she blocked the mirror, he lifted his head to look at her. "you said you and your sisters were thieves right?" he asked, looking her in the eyes. staying quiet for a few moments, he asked, "what happened to the Starheart?"

[Ixion]

She tapped her chin "What does it look like?" she asked thinking of many things that could look like it. They had stolen many things in their past from great and terrible artifacts to priceless gems. In truth she and her sisters could have stolen it ages ago but she needed to be reminded what it looked like.

["Cosmos"]

looking at her, he watched her with uncertain eyes. "it is shaped like a star, made of a crystal that holds no type of energy at all," he spoke, worried of what may of happened to the object.

[Ixion]

"That thing? We hid it in the vault. Unless Zharitana or Veras moved it after I died then it should still be in there why?" she asked tiltiing her head. It was a curious thing that they had filched from another thief trying to meet with the "dark lady". They had managed to nab it before he got to her and found that it held no power hid it in their vault.

biting his lower lip, he looked away from her. "the Starheart is the most important artifact of the Crystal Dragons. its been missing since the death of the first of the Crystal Dragons, and holds their very essence. i need it back, for if it is destroyed, i will die," he spoke, the looked back to her. "you will also die too, since i had to use my life force to keep yours from extinguishing," he said, biting his lip too much to cause bleeding.

She pressed a paw against his cheek and shushed him "It's alright dear I can contact one of my sisters and they can retrieve it for us, Zharitana can bring it here the fastest so I will try to get a hold of her first. No harm will come to it I swear" she said with a smile "I can even have her put it into the pocket dimension and I can reach it from here ok?"

"as long as its brought back to its rightful home, i don't mind. but right now, i'm feeling exhausted for some reason. go spend some time with your daughter, i'm going to get some rest. and i need that shard back," he said, giving her a weak smile. turning away, he began to walk out to head to his chambers.

She kissed him softly before he left and nodded "Ok we'll only use it when Trish wants to visit my love, get some rest" she said as she went to the mirror and reinserted the gem and walked through. She spent the next few hours catching up and talking with her daughter till she had to leave for her next training session. Saying goodbye to her daughter she left the small grove and went to their bed and laid with him.

walking out of the room and making his way shortly down the hall, he pushed open the doors open and made his way to the bed. climbing onto the soft bed and pulling the silkish blanket over himself, his body released the weakness that he had been holding back. closing his eyes as his body went limp, he fell asleep without resistance. after several hours, Teresa returned and laid with him. in his sleep, he snuggled up close to her and held her, bringing his cheek close to hers.

With a smile she slept with him happy to be with someone like him. As she laid there she reached her mind out to try and touch her sister's mind again hoping she was awake now and not sleeping.
