Lost On the Island

"i was talking about everyone you know. any kind of power or ability you have can't be used in the vicinity of this temple, including rift making. though i can do something, since my ancestors have amazing secrets hidden here," he spoke, as his tail curled more around hers. "are you sure you want to make this decision? cause i can't leave this temple unless the world is in danger. and i doubt the guardians will let you leave either, even if i tried to tell them. you would have to say goodbye to all your friends and family," he asked, knowing the consequences of such a decision, which showed in his voice of how much she would have to give up.

[Ixion]

"Is there any way I can talk to them?" she asked looking at him "I have saved the world numerous of times myself and this can benefit all parties" she asked as her side burned a little in pain causing her to flinch "And I have helped a few guardians so maybe they can be a little lineant towards me" she said

"the problem is, i and ancestors have no control of it. this temple was made with the last of a material that is sentient, which is connected with the crystal constructs. i would have to use my ancestors knowledge to drastically alter you to allow periods of when you can leave. unfortunately, it would also bind you to this temple, like i am," he spoke, not liking to think of the more darker members of his ancestors too much. looking at her, he grabbed her claw. "what i'm saying is, you would have to bind your very being to this place, like i am, and only allowed limited contact with the outside world, or risk losing your strength and power until you have no strength to defend yourself. are you sure about your decision?" he finished, looking at her with a caring look, not sure how much she would be giving up.

She smiled "Well I'am one of the pure blooded primals left dear even if my powers were drained it would take near a millennium for me to be too weak to fight." she said and looked out towards the curtains "But i'm not done out there, I still have a job to do." she looked at him with a smile "But yes I'm willing to do that as long as I get the chances needed to leave when I have to" she said. Suddenly something was heard at the word primal as if something went to cower behind something "What was that?"

upon hearing the word Primal, Cosmosaura resisted pulling away from her. turning his head, he climbed off the bed and headed to where the hidden thing was. seeing it was a construct meant to house one of the Crystal Dragon souls when they wished to return to the Mortal Realm, he looked upon it. seeing the same thing he felt, he turned his head slightly to look at Teresa. "what job do you still have to do?" he asked, his tone was serious, hiding the trouble of her actually being here now. waiting for her to respond, he remembered ready several scrolls detailing Primals and their unnatural energy when near Crystal Dragons. 'no wonder i feel weird,' he thought, as he waited.

[Ixion]

Raising an eyebrow she looked at him "I dont have a job, im just here to live, I died before I was able to live a full life, the ancestors felt bad and they gave me a new life" she shrugged "Simple as that." she frowned "Why is something the matter?" she gripped her side in pain again closing her eyes.

"you just said there was something you had to do, before you could give up being out there. what was it?" he asked again, his tone carrying the weight of several generations of his ancestors. looking at her, the soul construct crawled up his arm and stood on his back, looking at her with a feared curiosity.

[Ixion]

"It's just to see the world to a better future then what was foreseen" she looked at him noticing the multitude of voices showing a taint of fear "Whats wrong, i didn't mean to upset you" she said knowing if he decided to attack she was in no position to fight back. "And the other thing was to go and make sure my daughter and ex-mate were safe."

["Cosmos"]

"i'm sorry, but i'm not sure if i can let you go sooner then estimated. your a Primal Dragon, and your kind have a weird negative effect on us Crystal Dragons. that is why my kind are fearful of your kind," he spoke, the fear in the soul construct visible. become a little relaxed, he asked, "why can't you see if their safe from here? the Well of Eternity is able to see and interact with any living being in the world."

[Ixion]

"Because they are my family." she said crossing her paws "I promised my daughter she would see me again, my sisters too. I can't just break a promise like that" she said looking at him with saddened eyes "Ixion would hate me for not seeing him one more time, my daughter would never forgive me and my sisters would never want to hear my name again" she said "Thats why even if im bound to this place I have to go. And the way I suggested that would allow me to come and go is something that not even the ancestors would allow making it truly effective here."

["Cosmos"]

looking to the soul construct, he saw it nod at him. "you sure mom?" he asked, getting another nod. "okay, come with me, Teresa. i'll show you something," he said, turning towards a wall that looked like an intricate design. running his claw down the center, it opened with a rumble, showing a staircase with a faint glow at the end.

[Ixion]

Getting up she followed silently giving the crystal a look and a smile mouthing thank you and continued to follow him albeit at a slower pace. As the light began to die out she had to switch the lens of her eyes just to see and keep following him "Why is it so dark down here?"

"its because we have passed into the influence of the Well. everything looks almost pitch black when we first enter the sphere, but it will see become brighter," he said, as what he said rang true wehn the passage began to light up. for several minutes, he lead Teresa towards the bottom of the stairs. coming upon a large door, he cut his claw and placed it in the slot that was in the door. when the blood connected with the door, it opened with a slight rumble, releasing a bright light from the other side. walking in, he stood to the side as he turned to her. "welcome to the Well of Eternity, the crown jewel of the Crystal Dragons," he said, as he pointed to the swirling pool of energy of shifting colors.

She looked about in shock and awe "This place is huge!" she shouted looking to the well itself "I only heard wells like these exsist in the most rare places, Ixion said one use to reside under the city before it was destroyed in times of ancients pass." she said as she peered over the edge carefully not to fall in.

walking up beside her, he used his tail to push her into the calm energy. when she came up, he let out a laugh. "don't worry, you'll be fine. the Well of Eternity is the only Well of the three that is stable," he said, helping her out of the liquid energy.
