Lost On the Island

"Very funny wise guy" she grinned and yanked him in with her laughing at him "Haha revenge is mine" she exclaimed with a smile climbing out of the well shaking her body and gripping her side in annoyance.

staying under the water for several minutes, he felt calm and great in the liquid energy. resurfacing and climbing out, he let the liquid energy just slip off his body instead of shaking it off. "with this marvel of Nature, i can help you to contact and interact with anyone, even if their in a different Plane. its not just an illusionary trick," he said, as he walked into the Well. as he sank under the surface, the Well pulsed brightly. suddenly, something tapped Teresa's shoulder. "what do you think?" Cosmosaura asked, as he tapped her forehead and pointed to the Well, where his real self still floated in the Well.

"So it's sorta like an projection where I can be in two places at once and not have to leave but still be with my family on the outside?" she said leaning over close to his real self and looking back at the other him.

["Cosmos"]

"it would seem like that, but its not that simple," he said, as several more appeared. "this is what is known as Soul Sharding. a being is put into stasis in the Well, and their soul can create Soul Halves. Soul Halves are exact copies of the real being, and with their exact level strengths and powers. if the Soul Halves are attacked and defeated, the real being is safe, and unharmed, with only mild exhaustion from the soul being returned to the real being," the first Soul Half spoke, as the other Soul Halves picked up Teresa gently, showing they weren't mere projections. "projections have a mannerism of not being fully physical and being only a fraction of their true strength," he said, as they set her down.

"So what you are saying" she sat her foot down and laid near it's edge "Is that I can be at there and in here at the same time whenever that is possible. But my soul was already split" she said lifting her necklace "You see two fourths of my soul is in here, one fourth in my body and one fourth in my daughters necklace. Would that affect me any differently?"

as the Halves faded away, the first one stay, shaking his head. "unfortunately, the splits will be ripped from their current homes, and be made whole inside you. yours and your daughters neck will still act as if they contained your soul splits, but your soul would be made whole," he said, as the Half faded away. waking up, Cosmosaura surfaced and walked out of the Well. "sorry to say, but the Well will revert any soul anomalies into single entities.," he said, placing his claw over the indented scar in his chest.

"I see..." she began to think "But I can still use this to talk with my daughter, after all that is the crystals own power and being a crystal dragon i'm sure that is still allowed even here right?" she asked, she still wanted to be on call in case her daughter ever needed her advice or guidance.

["Cosmos"]

"communication is never restricted. if the need arises to talk with anyone, then your freely allowed to do so. physically leaving the island is the only thing that is prevented by the workings of my most ancient ancestors," he said, moving over to her and lifting the necklace closer. looking it over, he figured he could make something for her if she decided to stay for easy communication.

"Well i remember this time my sister made a mirror capable of being a short range portal to our hideout back when we were thieves" she said "We used similar crystals although I'd have to ask Zharitana about it again to see if she knows anything" she said with a smile "But thank the ancestors I can still talk to my daughter and through her everyone else" she said happily.

"if you decide to stay, you'll be able to talk with anyone you know. i can make a special crystal that allows you to talk with any being you know, no matter where they may be, even if their not in the Mortal Realm," he said, walking past her. "but its your choice if you will stay. if you leave though, you may not be able to return," he spoke, as he began to walk towards the base of the stairs.

She looked at the pool and the crystal. Closing her eyes she thought for a long moment and she stood up looking at him, despite what she though the world wouldn't need her to be there to baby sit it, her daughter would do more than enough. She realized that now and also that this dragon would need her more then anyone else turning to him she smiled "I'm staying" she said simply "As long as I get access to the this well and you make that crystal" she said.

smiling at her, Cosmosaura turned towards the stairs, motioning for her to follow with his tail. "we'll talk about the Well later. right now, lets get out of here before someone gets mad at me," he said, as he began to walk up the stairs. feeling the presence of his ancestors, he knew they didn't approve of someone not of the Crystal Blood being in the temple, and knowing about the Well of Eternity.

She nodded and followed him but limped mostly up the stairs. Once back on ground level she made a bee line for his bed and plopped down on it with an audible aah and snuggled with a pillow "Aah so relaxing" she said with a smile. Looking at him she beckoned him to come over to her with a sly smile.

walking over to the bed, he climbed onto it as the large doors to the Well closed shut. laying down, he looked at her, having not forgotten anything about what was being said or going on before they went to the Well.

She snuggled close to him and sighed happily not caring if her forgot or even cared about the incident earlier all she wanted to do now was rest and sleep. Her eyes slowly closed untill the soft snoring signaled she was asleep her tail tightly wrapped around his.
