New Arrivals in Valhalla

[Ixion]

Ixion sat in his study looking at the crystal ball his mate had brought home with her. With a silent growl he turned from the ball and went to a parchment, taking it in his paws he crumpled it up and threw it aside as he took his ink pen and began to write some more placing his head on one of his paws looking down at the parchment. Several quick rasp hit the door and Ixion looked up his amber eyes on the door "Yes?" he asked knowing his mate was visiting her friend.

"Lord Ixion someone has arrived and requested to see you" he heard one of his guards say

With a sigh Ixion went and opened the door and followed the guard downstairs "Did they say what they wanted?" he asked as the guard shook his head.

"No only that they wanted to see you and it was urgent" he said looking at the lord as they reached the foyer.

["Cosmos"]

having left the city of Valhalla an hour ago, Martivir traveled through the Shadow Realm on her way to the palace. slightly distracted as she walked, she thought of the rumors she had heard recently of a being that resembled her, but was seeped in the darkest of shadows. walking through the streets of the city the palace sat in, she got several looks from passerby's, none of them welcoming. taking an hour to walk from the outer gates where she had entered the Shadow Realm at, to the palace, she stood at the front gates, looking up to the balcony that lead to the Shadow Queen's chambers. turning her gaze to the twin guards that manned the gate, then nodded at her, allowing her passage. spreading her wings, she took off and flew up the massive palace, heading for the balcony. landing on the balcony, she heard crying from within, making her cautiously push aside the veil that covered the opening and walked in.

Walking into the foyer Ixion looked at his guard and heard sniffling of children in the next room. Looking at him he dismissed the guard and started down the hallway to the door. Why would there be children here and for what reason. Standing in front of the door he sighed and opened it and saw a dragon with it's back turned to him and trying to calm the crying child clearing his throat he spoke "Is there something wrong?" he asked taking a few steps forward.

walking into the personal chambers of the Shadow Queen, Martivir instantly noticed that her half-self wasn't around. turning her attention to the veiled bed, she saw the form of the Shadow Queen curled up, a sobbing sound coming from her. walking over to the bed, and jumping up onto it, she walked slowly over to her and laid a claw on her shoulder. "what happened, dear?" Martivir asked, seeing no physical harm to her, which didn't surprise her. looking over at her with tear-filled eyes, the Shadow Queen pulled her into a embraceful hug, and silently wept, remaining silent.

[Ixion]

As Ixion approached the dragon he turned and looked at him "I'm here on behalf of your step-brother Rygat" he said as he began to spell out what the message he was given was. As the message was finished Ixion stumbled as if he was given a physical blow as the messenger moved aside to reveal the two children as he looked at them with saddened eyes. Ixion hesitantly placed his paw against his face as tears began to roll down his face "Oh ancestors, what...what do I tell her." Ixion said as the messenger bowed his head and left. Ixion looked at the two children and beckoned them closer to him.

looking up at the Shadow Queen as she wept, Martivir slipped her arm up and placed her claw on her cheek. “please, what happened, dear?” she asked again, squirming slightly in the larger dragoness’s embrace. wiping her tears away, the Shadow Queen tried to calm herself before speaking. “she was consumed with darkness, and is beyond redemption. she is gone,” the Shadow Queen spoke, then burst into tears once again. realizing who she was talking about almost instantly, Martivir now knew why her other half was not here.

turning towards Ixion, the siblings looked at him with tear-filled eyes and began to walk towards him. standing right in front of him, they couldn’t help but still slightly cry at what was going on.

He hugged the two children and closed his eyes "Im so sorry for what has happened" he said quietly. Picking them up he carried them to one of the rooms and sat them in the bed
Get some rest, you need it. Your aunt will be home soon and" he stopped and wondered how his mate would take it once she heard the news he looked out in the hall and saw his children "Keep them company please" he said as he walked out and the children hopped onto the bed hoping to help comfort them.

as they watched him leave and looked at their cousins try to comfort them, they curled up together and wept. despite being young and new to the world, they understood that the death of their parents was near.

"so, the rumors are true, that a being that looks like me that was seeped in the darkest of shadows is out there. not good," Martivir said, narrowing her eyes. about to slip herself from the embrace of the Shadow Queen, she tightened her embrace as she whined. "okay, i will stay a little longer, dear," she said, snuggling close to the queen and laid a claw on her claw.

Ixion walked down to the foyer and leaned against the wall and rubbed the dry tears from his eyes and sighed wondering where Rygat and his mate where at now and how long they had, he also was dreading what his mate was going to do when she learned of what was to come.

staying with the Shadow Queen for a couple of hours, Martivir soon heard the queen slip into sleep as she began to breath lightly. lightly slipping herself from her embrace, she looked at the sleeping form of her friend as she slept. climbing off of the bed, she felt bad for leaving, but she needed to return to the Mortal Realms. walking over to a large mirror-like opening, she opened a shadow rift and walked in, leaving the Shadow Realm and the palace of the Shadow Realm.

stepping out of the rift in Valhalla, she looked at where her mate and children were. walking into the building, she soon found Ixion. noticing that he had been crying recently, she could tell that something was wrong. "i'm back dear," she said, walking up to him.

[Ixion]

He jumped at hearing her voice and looked at her sadly "Honey..." he said softly and sighed "You might want to sit down for this" he said as he indicated for her to sit down and looked at her. As soon as she did he sighed "Rygat and Cloyee, they dont have long to live." he said. looking at her.

seeing him jump at her voice, she now knew something was wrong as he looked at her sadly. doing what he said, Martivir sat down and waited for him to speak. as he spoke of her brother and his mate, her eyes went wide as tear began to well up in her eyes. standing up quickly, she asked in fear, "where is he? where is my baby brother?!" looking at him with pure sorrow in her eyes, her eyes pleaded with him to tell her where he was.

He looked into her eyes and pulled her close "The messenger said they were going to the Darkened Lands where he hatched, there is one more thing" he said placing his paws into hers "They had two hatchlings, they are here with us" he said looking at the stairs.

["Cosmos"]

looking up at the stairs, she squirmed out of his claws with urgency. "i'm sorry, but i must go to him now," she said, sorrowfully, then ran into a rift that appeared behind her. exiting the rift in the Darkened Lands, she ran towards where she felt her brother, the ruins of the Mountain of Malefor looming over the land.

after an hour, a shadow rift opened and Martivir exited in an empty room. with tears running down her face, she suddenly burst into crying. falling onto the floor, her cried could be heard down the hall, not caring to hide her sorrow.

He sighed watching her leave knowing her sorrow. When she returned he heard her weeping and walked down the hall to find her in one of the unfurnished rooms, walking to her he laid by her side and held her claw "I'm sorry my love, im so sorry" he said holding her close to him.
