unable to find her voice in her sorrow, she dug her face into his chest as she wept. crying until she cried herself into sleep, she still cried in her sleep, but more quietly as she laid in his embrace.

He held his mate through the night not sleeping at all instead spent it to keep his mate company, when she was finally fully asleep he picked her up and carried her to their bed and laid her in it and laid in it with her as he laid his head down next to hers.

sleeping with no dreams, Martivir was still except for the slight twitching of her crying. even as morning came, she remained in her sorrow-filled sleep, not wanting to face the reality of losing her baby brother. as the sun came up and entered the room, she suddenly began to dream of Rygat, of the times they could have spent together if the events of their past didn't happen.

[Ixion]

He stayed by her side the whole time as he laid his head with hers and touched her mind trying to calm her sadness as he dealt with his own grief but he ignored it as he focused on her sadness trying to show her all the good times rather than bad.

["Cosmos"]

as the dreams played in her mind, her eyes suddenly lurched open as her mind rejected the dreams for not being real. as tears renewed themselves from her eyes, she jumped off the bed and without a word, ran into a rift that lead to the Shadow Temple. jumping out of the rift, she ran through the halls of the Shadow Temple, calling for her mom.

Ixion watched the rift open but not close, he knew his mate had always told him not to go there but that was back when her father was alive. With a sigh he stepped through the rift and was behind her mate as she called out for her mother he was unsure what to do at this point.

not noticing Ixion follow her through the rift, Martivir ran through the halls of the Shadow Temple looking and calling for her mother. after several minutes, she came to the door to the nursery. pushing open the door, tears ran down her face as she walked over to the nest where Rygat's egg was once upon a time. laying by the nest, she looked distant as she remembered being in this exact spot when her brother's egg was laid.

[Ixion]

Ixion had followed her getting odd looks from the shadowy residents of the castle. Walking into the room behind her he watched her and walked over and sat next to her and placed his paw on hers trying his best to comfort her and he looked back to see his step mother walk into the room behind them.

feeling his touch, she didn't notice as she continued to remember the brief time she had spent with her brother's egg before she was seperated. closing her eyes as her mother walked in, she tried to hold back from crying again, as her mother walked over and drew her into her embrace.

[Ixion]

He looked at his mate and at his step mother with saddened eyes "Rygat and Cloyee are dying, they left their children for me and Martivir to care for" he said to her and sighed sadly "I...I wish we wouldn't have to and that the both of them would be fine" he said

["Cosmos"]

"i know, i wish it was not to be," Martivir's mother spoke, her sadness evident and her face showing that she had been crying herself. holding her daughter close, she stroked her daughter's back as she began to cry again.

[Ixion]

He nodded at her and sighed "I wish there was something I could have done" he said with a sigh his body showing exhaustion and nobody notice a small shadow had grown on him and was investigating the amber dragon wondering if he would be interested in a shadow of his own.

["Cosmos"]

"nothing can change the fate of my son and his mate. they have lived their lives, and not even the Twin Gods will change the path for them," she said, having already requested that very question before. seeing the shadow on Ixion, she brought her tail around and picked up the shadow with her tail-end. "sorry, but not right now dear. this is a sad moment right now," she said, as the shadow made a motion of being saddened.

[Ixion]

He looked at the shadow and smiled at it "Maybe later I will divulge you" he said patting the thing as it almost gave a chirp and ran off as he returned to his mate and laid by her side rubbing her neck and nuzzling her.

having slipped into sleep from her crying, Martivir had finally stopped crying as she breathed lightly. laying her daughter in the nest, she turned and left the chamber, looking back once at her daughter as she closed the door. sleeping dreamlessly, Martivir looked like how she used to sleep after her rebirth from being a Shadowseeker, appearing lifeless as she slept.
