Rapier listened as Teresa explained about his flames being rare and there had only been one other dragon to have them. Maybe Kazyua had been an ancestor of his! Though he trend as he heard one guard clear his throat, "Actually my lady there was one of our guard some years back who had similar colored flames but she too disappeared. Everyone called her Lila of the Crimson Flames because of it and she was only half-lore dragon from what we know." The guard said, giving a respectful bow as he said this.

[Ixion]

"Oh? Then that would explain why I haven't ever met her" she said and looked back at him "Then maybe if we can track down this Lila then we may have more answers" she said looking at the guard "Is there anything else you can tell us soldier?" she asked with a sweet smile hoping this guard had more information.

"I'm afraid not much my lady. She wasn't with us for very long when she showed up here, maybe a handful of years at best. But when she disappeared some of the guards noticed she was taking up a lot of the night shifts and one two thought they saw a stranger meeting her but it was hard to tell for sure." The guard explained as he thought for a moment. "I do recall one time meeting her she seemed rather edgy and her stomach seemed to be swollen, possibly from eggs. Shortly thereafter she was gone, just vanished and no one's seen her since."

As the guard said this and recalling Teresa's description Rapier seemed to go blank as he recalled something deep in his memory. It had been the first time he had hatched from his egg finding himself face to face with what had seemed a crimson or ruby colored dragoness, her eyes having a loving and relieved expression as he recalled her giving him a name, his first name due to his spikes. Blinking a few times as he realized he probably knew who his mother was now and what happened to this Lila he felt a tear beginning to form and he quickly walked past Teresa and the guard not wanting them to see his realization.

Instead he headed toward the entrance of the vault where he knew his mate was waiting. But now he almost was not wantin to face the crowds knowing the information bothered him further but he really had to take a moment to pull himself together. Which such a thing was easier said than done.

Teresa watched him leave and watched as her mind began to run "Is it possible?" she muttered to herself and thanked the guard as he watched her leave after the spiky male.

Tisha was pacing back and forth when she saw her mate leave "About time....love are you ok?" she asked getting the disturbed sense from him as she watched him and stood in front of him "Rapier?" she asked quietly.

As Rapier came to the entrance he stopped when hearing Trisha, trying to get his mind back together. Though at first he couldn't seem to bring himself to speak as the realization he had only briefly seen his mother and had no way of knowing she likely could have gotten help. So why? Why had she not tried to fly back to Valhalla for help when she could have been helped?

His mind was going a mile a minute trying to make sense of everything to the point he began to feel dizzy. "I-I'm sorry Trish something just came up, I need a few moments alone. I'll see you before the ceremonies begin my dear, I promise." He managed to finally say, kissing her cheek before he quickly walked off to take some time to himself and compose his thoughts, not wanting to face the people of Valhalla in such a state he's appear incapable of even talking to them.

She looked as he walked away slightly worried as her mother came by "Mom what did you do?" Trisha asked looking at her mother.

"Nothing although we may have discovered something of his parentage" she said as she motioned for her daughter to follow her so she can prepare for the evenings festivities. She herself was going to get drunk that night and go home to her mate and it was likely her own daughter would do the same.

Rapier took some time to walk around the castle, his thoughts slowly beginning to get things together piece by piece. He began to be able to put some of the puzzle together from this recent information and some of what Zhatriana had told him from his precious visit. Now he knew his mother was certainly the Half-lore dragon and his father the necro dragon though in the time span of his mother leaving there likely with his father he was born with probably siblings. When he hatched he remembered his mother very briefly before she died soon after making him. The rest he likely never would know but at lead the was beginning to see a picture of who he was and where he came from, so maybe it was no coincidence he met Teisha and ended up back where it all had started.

Though as he passed a window he could see it was drawing towards the end of the day and into night making him realize he had to hurry to get back. Turning down a hall he rushed to meet up with his mate and get ready for things to come knowing as much as he wanted to continue with his thoughts he had a promise to keep to Ixion and Trisha.

As he would come down the stairs two guards who where looking for him directed him to a different hallway and room where his mate would be waiting at. Trisha herself sat in the room wearing a jeweled choker and bracers, they were ceremonial of course as she stood looking out the window waiting for her mate.

As Rapier met the guards he followed where they had directed and pushed open the door, finding Trish was already there. Closing the door behind him the bloodred dragon cleared his throat, "I hope I'm not too late love." He said to her, his voice apologetic as he came in further to prepare for the ceremonies, his previous reservations forgotten as the ceremony might be the thing to help clear his mind.

She turned and smiled at him "No we just need to get you prepped a little quickly" she said as she indicated to the accessories over on the armorie that was brought up from the vault "Just need to pick a few....love are you ok you seemed a little off earlier." she said as she was worried about her mate.

Nodding Rapier moved over to the accessories, picking a few thick leg braces he clipped around where his spikes didn't reach and a few tail rings. "I'm alright now Trisha, there was just a lot on my mind at the time and I needed a moment to gather my thoughts." He told her before he found a head piece that seemed to easily fit the frame of his face without his spikes got in the way and placed it on. The accessories though still felt weird to him, something he likely would have to get use to.

She pulled his head close and kissed him softly and nuzzled him "Tonight is gonna be long, if you think that your not gonna last you can go back to the room early" she said with a sweet smile and moved to the door and opened "No one will look down on you about it" she said with a soft smile and opened the door "Although do expect to get drunk without noticing it."

Rapier managed to smile a bit as kisses Trish back, nodding slightly. "I'll try to last most of the night Trish but there is no promises right now." Rapier told her as he followed out the door, closing it behind them once they were out in the hall an headed towards the ceremonies. "Though I might try to avoid getting drunk, not exactly a good thing when your mind is in a whirl of other things. But that just is me." He added, not really ever drinking before and actually tended to avoid it.

She giggled and licked his cheek avoiding the spikes of his scales smiling "I cant promise you I wont get drunk but expect to me to be a little ravenous later tonight love" she said with a smile and she stretched "Plus you did promise tonight would be our night after the festivities." she said.

Rapier chuckled softly, "I never said I would avoid our plans for the night Trisha." He assured her as they walked to the location. Though he wasn't quite sure what to expect from the festivities as he did have some nervousness about it. Flicking his spiked tail slightly he peeked out the windows they passes and felt his heart beat pick up a se realize just how many people would be watching and forgetting his thoughts of earlier for now.
