looking at him, Convexia stood up from her stance. knowing he could never break her defenses, she let herself become completely defenseless, even though that was impossible. "why should i fight back? that bastard Malefor is gone, and i'm free from his grasp and torment. there is no reason to cause you harm when you have not the knowledge to know the difference about me," she spoke, thoughtlessly rubbing the large scar on her chest, at the base of her neck.

Cypreus for the moment just listened, not yet relaxing his stance despite Convexia doing so since he had to be sure he could trust she wouldn't try something. But as he listened he raised a scaly brow at the hate she seemed to hold towards the former Dark Master which made him think for a bit before he finally stood straight. "Suppose I was a little quick to jump to conclusions then, but even now you can't be too careful."He said to her, as he could only shrug his shoulders.

Glancing at her more he began to notice the scars upon her body, especially the one she rubbed on her chest before looking towards her. "All those scars must be from Malefor then I assume?"Cypreus inquired.

closing her eyes, she placed her claw over the scar she was rubbing. "only a few of them came from the battles of the war. the rest of them are from that bastard himself, especially this one," she said, raising a claw to tap the large scar she was covering. "he tried to train me into his ultimate weapon, but he was unable to break me. after enough time of seeing my command, he used me to create his new army, those corrupted filth that continue to wonder the realms," she finished talking, as a small swarm of Grublin Flies flew overhead. smiling, she crouched down, then launched herself into the air. with skills of an expert hunter, she snatched all the little creatures out of the air and slammed them into the marshy ground. as they began to try and scurry away, she held them down with her limbs as she began to bite into them, draining them of all blood they carried within their small bodies. after finishing drinking their blood, she raised her head up and sighed. "no matter how many i drink, i will never regain what is mine," she said, kicking the last one she drank from.

"Well, Malefor wasn't above manipulating others for his own schemes, that became apparent many times during those dark times."Cypreus said, nodding in understanding that it couldn't have been the greatest time in the dragoness' life. It seemed her and the well known black dragoness Cynder weren't the only ones who had fallen to the darkness and managed to come out of it but there were still those who followed that path. If it wasn't Malefor then it was the Shadowseekers or other forces always at work within the Dragon Realms. They just had to b ready for it.

Though he glanced up when seeing the Grumblin Flies, watching as Convexia easily took them out and already could guess she meant many of the Grumblins that still roamed around. They may no longer answer to a master but they were still a nuisance and occasionally had to be taken care of like a constant pest. "I'm sorry to hear that Convexia."

"don't be sorry. be sorry for them," she said, pointing to the Grublins. "before that bastard used my blood to change them into these horrible corrupted things, they were actually peaceful, nice, and actually cute. even after all these years, my blood continues to flow through their veins, constantly bending them into the weapons Malefor wanted," she spoke, thinking back to when she first saw the scared Grublins before they were changed. "i plan on regaining my blood from them, and hopefully i will be able to return them to normal, if the Twin Gods will allow me to," she said, a sadness evident in her face as she closed the eyes of the Grublins.

"Really? I've never seen the Grumblins unless they were like this."Cypreus said as he nodded towards the now deceased creatures lying near them and could only imagine how these usually pesky, dark creatures could have been different before Malefor's influence. But then agian he doubted they were the most horrible creatures out there these days, lately it seemed the Shadowseekers were the real enemies to watch for these days. "That'll be a lot of Grumblins to track down Convexia, they seem to have scattered to different parts of the Dragon Realms by now."

"yeah, i guessed that already, but it does not matter, since i have overcome my need for my own blood," she said, lightly wiping the blood from her lips and licking the blood form her claws. looking at him fully now, she could tell he has lived in the Swamp for a long while. "so, how long have you lived in the Swamp?" she asked, needing some civility after the violence that led up to this moment.

"Guess that's a good thing,"Cypreus said, not quite knowing how to respond to the fact she overcame that need but for a vampiric dragon he could guess that was quite a feat for them. Though he glanced back at her as he shrugged, "Guess roughly twenty five years I suppose, been here since I ran into some of Malefor's dragon goons during my travels."He then turned slightly to show the scar along his right side, which went from his shoulder down to the middle of his right side. "Have to admit the young dragon put up a good fight but ended up staying here to avoid further detection and to heal my leg fully."

closing her eyes as she listened to him, she thought back to that time. "i believe i was fighting in the northern realms against the Guardians Forces," she said, then smiled as she opened her eyes. "i consider myself quite the general. i chose my troops personally, meaning they trusted me in the orders i give. during our battles, not one combatant on either side died, and we made sure that ground was given or taken at the right time. i do miss most of them quite a lot," she said, her wings lowering slightly.

"Hmph, with no meaning of disrespect I still don't see how you could be proud to do something of with what Malefor was doing. A lot of our kind almost ended up dead during those time."Cypreus said, showing he wasn't quite impressed in the least just because she had a status of once being a great general. Honestly, he could careless what anyone's status was. He may have been a loner but he certainly saw Malefor's campaign against the dragons and other creatures who opposed him horrific and disturbing.

Shaking his head the large male was beginning to find this conversation going no where pleasant really quickly, "Suppose if your alright I might as well let you go off to wherever your headed next."He said as he turned away to begin leaving.

"no disrespect taken, since you are right" she said, listening to him. watching him turn and begin to leave, she lightly tugged on his tail. "whats the big rush. are you rally that interested in being alone once more?" she asked, letting go of his tail.

When feeling Convexia tug on his tail lightly Cypreus glanced back with a raised brow, listening to her words to which he merely shrugged. "I've always been a loner since I left my nest near Ancient Grove Convexia, and I don't mind being a loner to this day. So to answer your question yes, I don't mind being alone again."He answered, only looking thoughtful for a moment. "Maybe from time to time company is tolerable but the usual time I seek out any company is to keep my combat skills sharp."He said before shrugging once more. "Besides that there's not much else to explain about it."

"well, shall i be a help you. from what i have been experiencing of late, the Shadowseekers are becoming more powerful. so, maybe some training against me will help you soon," Convexia said, standing up. with how weak her body looks with the many scars, her appearance defies the looks with her masterful defenses and strength.

"Yes, so I've heard and don't very much care unless they bother me."Cypreus said as she shrugged slightly. "And at the moment not interested in fighting with you any further, if you are not going to be a threat to me then I see no reason to continue."He said as he merely turned away and began to walk away. "Besides if I come across any Shadowseekers I can hold my own just fine."

shrugging her shoulders, she spoke, "if you think so. i hope you have good fortunes, and maybe happiness soon." turning around, she began to walk in the direction of the Ancient Grove. suddenly, the voices of her ancestors flooded her mind, making her growl out loud as she placed a wing-claw on her head.
