Cypreus didn't bother to comment this time, finding himself just fine and happy with his current life and could do fine without family. He saw no reason to leave such a life when he had everything he needed even if that involved never stepping foot into Warfang or any other village close by. But when he was about to go out of sight he heard her growl which cause the large dragon to stop before turning to look back. "Convexia, what's wrong?"He asked as he turned back to her.

grabbing her head with her muddied claws, she started to groan in pain. hearing Cypreus's voice, she spoke, her words took effort to say, "please, stay back. i really don't want to hurt you." as her tail seemed to charge with plasmic energy, she uncontrollably flicked it. as it came within an inch of striking Cyrpeus, it sliced through a mushroom tree, cutting it clean through without effort.

"What do you..."Cypreus stopped when seeing her tail glow and looking sideways with wide eyes as the blast nearly struck him but luckily missed by an inch. Watching the mushroom fall over and being cut clean through made him rub his neck, knowing that could have been his head and neck instead of the mushroom. What exactly was causing her so much pain and to cause her to react just like that?

Looking back at her he took another step forward, "Convexia please tell me what's wrong, maybe...I can help."The words were strange to say for Cyperus, he normally wasn't the one to help strangers. But seeing the vampiric dragoness in pain he was willing to offer it on one of the few occasions another needed it.

as she tried to force her control over her Ancestors, Convexia opened an eye and looked at Cypreus. as her eye turned a solid black, she opened her mouth to show her fangs. suddenly, she lunged at him, easily overpowering him to the ground. opening her maw, she suddenly sunk her fang down.

instead of plunging her fangs deep into his neck, she suck her fangs into a frogweed that was submerged in the mud. as it let out a dying elderly screech, she clamped her jaws shut, ending its life in an instant. as its strange blood seeped into her mouth, the blackness of her eyes receded, then she released the dead frogweed. as a shiver ran down her spine, she began to throw up as her Ancestors influence left her system.

Cypreus snarled in surprise when Convexia suddenly took a lung at him and surprisingly for a dragoness of her stature overpowered him. Even if he fought back he stopped he watched her head seemingly go for her throat though instead it struck the frogweed he hadn't noticed at the time and winced from it's dying breathe. His body was tense when he watched her, not knowing if Convexia would go for his throat, or whoever was affecting her quite possibly, until he saw her beginning to throw up.

"Sorry for this Convexia but..."With a grunt he used his powerful back legs to send her right off him, but only with enough force she would only fall onto the mud nearby so she wasn't hurt by the impact before rolling over to be back on his feet and turned towards her. "Convexia, what just happened?"

as she was kicked off her feet and landed into the mud, Convexia began to breath heavy as she stopped throwing up. weakly getting to her claws, she looked at him with a sad look. "i'm so sorry. my ancestors tried to take control of me to feast on you," she said, her wings drooping down and her head lowering.

"So I noticed, but it wasn't your fault then and I had to be sure you weren't going to attack that time."Cypreus said as he faced her, wondering why her Ancestors would be taking over her when they were meant to guide a dragon and sometimes help them in times of need, least that was what he had heard. But rarely did he hear of them trying to take over their descendants or cause harm to others. It seemed this was such a case for Convexia.

Now there was the matter if he should help her or take her word and leave. "Is there any way I can help or should I leave as you said? I know you were concerned of harming me but I want to be sure before I leave someone who likely needs a helping paw."He inquired to her, wanting to be absolutely sure there was nothing he couldn't do to help.

as he asked if she needed help, she noticed a pain in her leg. looking at it, she was amazed that it was twisted in an odd angle. "while i would say i wouldn't be sure, it seems this time i do need help," Convexia said, as she tried to stand up. with a growl of pain, she fell back into the mud.

Seeing her twisted leg Cypreus wondered if he had used too much force in kicking her off him and caused the injury, though he'd have to think about that later. For now he walked over to her, using his earth element to harden the mud enough she could lie on it instead of continuing to fall into it and giving him some footing to gently push her up on her three good legs. "Guess I overdid it with the strength when kicking you off, but we'll worry about that later we need to get you somewhere where you can at least get off that foot."

getting his help to stand on her good three legs, she nodded at him. "i think my body was weakened severely by my ancestors, but its ok. as for a good place, i don't think we can make it beyond the Swamp," she said, looking around.

Cypreus looked around the swamp and probably guessed she might be right, though they probably could it'd likely take time with Convexia having to walk on three feet or have his help to walk. Perhaps flying might have been better. "Well there is always flying, I could easily carry you if need be Convexia. But that is up to you if not we'll be slowed down if we walked."He said to her, wondering what else they really could do.

looking up to the sky, she let out a sigh. "even if the weather fared for me, i don't think my strength would allow me to fly. and, a storm is starting," she said, as the light from the sun began to diminish.

"Thus why I said let me carry you,"Cypreus this time moved closer and used his wing along with his paw gently lifting her up under her chest and stomach to slide her onto his back and glancing at the clouds. "And for the most part I can fly as long as I can before that storm hits, this time your just going to have to trust me."He told her, crouching slightly before taking flight with ease, her extra weight on his back seeming to do little to slow him down as he took flight and quickly soared ahead of the clouds for the time being.

nodding at him, she was surprised when he was easily able to get airborne even with her large form. scanning the land for a suitable place to rest, she found one after a few minutes. as she pointed it out, a large crash of lightning came from the sky, missing them by inches. "damn, i don't have the strength to deflect them. we need to get on the ground now," she yelled over the crash of thunder.

Cypreus growled a bit when the lightning almost struck them, having to fly sideways a bit to avoid more of them when the storm came faster then he had expected. "I realize that, just give me a moment."He growled through the storm before quickly diving towards the area she had indicated before he landed, shaking the ground slightly from having dropped down the rest of the way and moving beneath cover to avoid any chances of them getting struck. "Not exactly thr most graceful landing but it'll have to do."
