rolling off his back, she landed in a puddle of mud. "trust me, i've had worse landings then that," she said, as she got comfortable next to the trunk of a mushroom tree. rubbing the dried casing that covered her broken leg, she suddenly let out a yelp of severe pain as she righted the angling of her leg.

"Same, but guess better than being struck by lightning."Cypreus said, shifting his wings before folding them against his back and moving beside the tree and sitting down slightly before watching the clouds for a bit. It looked like it was going to be a nasty one more likely and some cover was better then risking in being struck down by lightning. His attention quickly went to Convexia when she yelped, frowning with some concern, "Convexia take it easy with that leg,"He told her with some concern.

"trust me, its better this way. without my maidens help, this is the best i can do to help heal it," she said, then yelped again as the sickening sound came from her leg. jerking her leg one last time, she fell forward, tears welling up in her eyes. breathing deeply, she used her claw to cut open her leg. as the bones of her leg were visible, she clenched her teeth as the pain was great. grabbing the broken bones, she snapped them together, growling in pain. once the bones were together, she wrapped her claw over the bleeding cut. suddenly, her claws were engulfed in plasma, which in turned burned the cut closed.

Unfortunately, Cypreus could only watch with not knowing anything in really handling twisted ankle, broken bones, and the like, only able to watch as she worked. But he flinched from the sickening sound, frowning slightly as she worked with repairing her own leg and found himself slightly shocked at the fact the bones were broken. Sometimes he couldn't help his own strength and he could overdo it, though he really had tried not to hurt her. Though when she was done he came over, trying to be of some comfort, "Convexia...I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help for your injury. I'm not knowledgeable in healing or medical aid."Cypreus apologized.

looking at him, she smiled at him. "its ok, Cypreus. it wasn't your fault. if my ancestors hadn't tried to control me, then this wouldn't of happened. i am battled harden enough that not even the strongest beings could harm me. but, as you have seen, even with that restrained kick was enough to nearly shatter my leg," she said, as she took her claw from her leg. as the last of the blood dripped from the cut, the black scales looked like they had been submerged in lava.

"Even being battle hardened doesn't prevent you from not being hurt Convexia, trust me I'm not much different to being battle hardened. But doesn't make you invincible." Cypreus agreed, glancing back at the cut that was now seeming to be healed but the look of the black scales looked like they should have been painful too. "And my strength has always served me well in the past, but sometimes it's hard to know when I'm holding back or using too much."He told her.

chuckling as he spoke, she couldn't help but shake her head. "you have a lot to learn about Vampire Dragons. i was forced into battle nearly from the moment i was hatched. trained to be a merciless warrior and to withstand any attack, but even if i had all the powers that that bastard Malefor had, they are no match against the power my ancestors obtained from their blood harvesting," she spoke, as she heard a familiar song from someone that was deceased. as the song washed over her, she began to feel calmed and relaxed, closing her eyes as she leaned against the tree trunk.

"That's an understatement, I've never met a vampiric dragon up until I came across you today."Cypreus said, managing to have but the faintest of smiles but he was telling the truth in that fact. He had never come across the species of Dragon Convexia was from and could only shrug a bit, knowing everyone had a different background and sometimes different levels of fighting. "Well think it's a positive aspect to not have to deal with malefor anymore."He said as he for now lied on his stomach while waiting for the storm to pass.

"yeah, i am glad for that. i can finally try to live a life free from shadows," she said, as her head began to bob with the melody of the song. after a minute, the song ended and washed a soothing sense over her. "thank you mother," she said, unconsciously.

Cypreus nodded thoughtfully, knowing such a life couldn't have been the best at all for her from the way she made things sound. Malefor certainly had been a twisted soul and seemed uncaring for those he twisted and harmed just to further his goals to get revenge on those who exiled him which had been with probable cause. Closing his eyes slightly while lying his head down Cypreus didn't hear the song Convexia did but he opened an eye when hearing her, looking curious for a moment.

opening her eyes, she looked at him. "sorry. i have the ability to interact with the dead, which gives my ancestors their chances to take over me. it also allows my mother to help me, especially after such attacks happen," she said, looking up at the stormy sky.

Cypreus nodded before closing his eye again, "Guess that explains a lot then, talking to the dead seems to leave you vulnerable to their power at some points. But this is just my observation from what I just saw, but at the same time it seems you at least have a helping hand."He told her,gently scratching his snout with a single claw before resting it under his large head once more.

"yeah," she said, then looked at him. leaning her head back, she closed her eyes. opening her mouth, she began to sing a strange song that carried a soothing and relaxing sound to it.

When hearing Convexia beginning to sing Cypreus opened both eyes to look at her, the song strange but soothing at the same time. Surprisingly he found himself relaxing just hearing it and he had to admit he probably jumped to conclusions earlier when she had mentioned being under Malefor, something of which he could guess she hated since they talked. But she definitely wasn't a half bad dragoness and it was his fault for jumping the gun. "You have a great voice Convexia."Cypreus complimented, more so in being kinder this time.

smiling at him as she finished, Convexia nodded at him. "thank you. it is the song my mother sings to to me. i'll sing to my children soon too, especially when i am a Broodmother," she said, as a lightning bolt crashed to the ground near the mushroom tree they were under.
